Soon, it was dawn and for her, it felt like Christmas.
With everything in place and her small-sized travelling bag ready to go, she knew she needed a cup of coffee and made herself one.
Once the sun came out, there was a different feel to the morning, it all felt right and she had never been so positive as she was in that instant.
Keeping to time, she was soon fixing her bag on a plane. Got herself in her seat afterwards and took deep breaths for she was a nervous wreck.
Looking out the window was fun until thoughts of a flaming engine hit her and she just had to take her eyes off it.
Finally, the bumps as they landed. It shook her a little bit, she wondered if she ever would get used to it.
"Taxi!" She called out to an incoming one.
The middle-aged man stopped in front of her and wore a friendly smile on his face.
She told him her destination and he helped fix her bag in the trunk. Getting into the back seat, she couldn't help but reminisce on the previous year.
Just how close she had been to achieving her dreams. The chatty driver didn't seem to notice or care that he wasn't getting any response.
He went on and on about life as a single man. He pretty much made it seem like his marriage was a curse.
She heaved a sigh of relief as she let herself fall on her face on the hotel room bed once she arrived and checked in.
The bed was so cuddly. Just how she liked it. One of the reasons she didn't travel much, it wore her out all the time.
Forty-five minutes of sleep came to an end once hunger set in.
She made the call and shortly had food before her. She ate quickly and checked the clock, it was time for her to get to the studio.
She opened up her box after a brief shower. Did some minor touches to her face and slipped into a nude-coloured elbow-sleeve bodycon knee-length dress.
She wore a dark blue pair of shoes to match and just let her hair be free.
Containing her excitement was the one thing she was bad at but had to do.
Walking into the building scheduled for the meeting only made her more nervous. She hoped it wasn't so obvious.
"Hello, you must be Miss Miley Mcray." a man in his thirties approached her with a friendly smile.
"Oh, yes. I am." She responded, accepting his handshake.
"Call me Peter. I am the production coordinator. It's nice to meet you.
Come with me, I'll show you the crew." He said, leading the way.
"Oh, thank you." She replied.
"I must say you fit the looks of the character needed too perfectly." He said.
"Oh. Is that a problem?" she inquired worriedly.
"Not at all. This time around, we wanted to encourage potential.
The world is a movie on its own and a lot of talented actors go unnoticed every time because more and more focus remains on the familiar faces." He said.
"True." She voiced as they took a turn.
A considerable space was revealed with people on the ground carrying on with their affairs.
She didn't catch sight of Colin, perhaps he would be late.
Mr Peter went on to introduce her to every member of the crew and they all seemed friendly even though the females looked intimidated by her and the guys looked like they had other intentions.
She remained standing and chatty, getting comfortable when Colin emerged from a corner on her left.
He was on his phone and holding onto his script. She wondered when she was going to get hers.
He was hot and looked hotter in his white polo shirt and blue jeans. Everything about him was steamy, one could literally see the smoke.
But he didn't look like Destructo. He was so calm and harmless.
There wasn't a trace of arrogance in him. His aura was just- peaceful.
He soon got to where they stood and apologized for taking too long in the restroom and his voice, his voice was just how it was in the movie- No filter.
Miley could see the ladies drool and didn't blame them. How can a man be tall and handsome?
She was introduced to him and he turned towards her.
"Hi." He voiced.
"Hi," she responded.
It was at that moment she saw his innocent grey eyes. A smile forced its way on her face.
Afterwards, a speech was made by the director and producer. Information was passed and a script was handed to her.
They were to rehearse and reassemble by Thursday to get things rolling for the first scene.
For Miley, things were happening too fast and she excused herself to use the restroom.
No, she didn't puke. She just counted to three inhaled, counted to three and exhaled.
She did that twice before proceeding to open her eyes only to find a lady standing behind her so creepily.
And that was Nichole, Nichole Roberts. Beautiful face and a milky skin tone.
A successful model and a billionaire's daughter. How lucky can a woman be?
"You startled me." Miley voiced with a racing heart.
"Oh, did I?" Nichole replied in a sarcastic tone as she moved steadily and closer with fixed eyes.
Her voice was a seductive one and it complemented her physique.
"All of this must feel like a new world for you. How privileged you must be to get the role. Chosen-one." She added spitefully.
"I know you," Miley said.
"You should. You have pretty hands." Nichole said. "And i saw how you looked at him," she added.
"I have no idea what you are talking about," Miley assured her.
"I don't want to have a problem with you. Don't make me. Keep your claws off my man. Colin's mine or you just might love those pretty hands. " Nichole threatened, then walked away.
Miley tried to best understand what had happened and why anyone would think she had eyes on Colin.
She sighed and returned to meet with the crew. All was said and done, she got her stuff and was ready to return to the hotel.
"Hey!" She heard someone call out to her as she descended the stairs outside the building.
She knew it was him.
"I'm sorry but Miley, right?" He said once he caught up with her.
"Yes." She concurred.
"Didn't think you would leave so early" He said.
"Why?" she inquired.
"Nothing serious. I just - hoped to talk with you.
I have a lot of projects at hand and just want us to work together.
You know, speed things up so I don't get choked up, I sound selfish don't I?" he smiled, raising his brows at the same time.
"Kind of," she admitted.
"Okay so, we begin the first scene of the movie.
I would really appreciate it if we exchanged contacts. So we could fix up our own meetings, get good at our lines and not waste so much time on set." he said.
"We can rehearse in our different spaces and do great on set. I am that good." She said.
He smiled again.
"I thought so too till Henry Cavill said his lines and I just- totally forgot mine," he told her.
"Hah, not me." She assured him.
"Listen. " He lowered his voice.
"For some reason, I want it to be you who takes this role.
The truth is, being here, your talent isn't what keeps you in.
There is a long list of recommendations and a small time frame for us to pull this off.
I can't promise you, you will get many chances. So I really suggest you help me and help you." He told her.
