The two of them stared at one another as Li Mei heard the man saying, "Who gave you the permission to enter?"
Li Mei's nose wrinkled in response. She herself didn't want to enter the space where she had just just now vomited. She wasn't that gross of a person who would go about smelling her own vomit.
Her expressions were so obvious that it made the man's veins pop out on his forehead. He took a deep breath and averted his eyes. "Get out."
"Gladly." Li Mei released a breath as she was about to turn the curtains away before the man spoke again.
"Wait a moment." Cao Haoran's eyes had a glint of coldness as he smirked. "Since you're already here, I should give you some work. You have invited yourself into the lion's den, so don't blame me for being ruthless."
Li Mei felt veins popping on her forehead as she explained herself, "Your Highness, I didn't want to come either."
"Sure, I believe you."
