Chapter 5 - CH 4: Musician Slathilia?

(A/N: Lol, hear me out. What about a fanfic about Clash of Clans or Clash Royale? Lol, no, I'm not saying I'm writing. Not for a long time later, at least. I'm just saying it for shits and giggles. Just the village chief (player), who actually is in the game, starting from zero and improving his village to 100. That would honestly be fun as hell, don't you think? Maybe even have other chief friends with other villages, have multiple villages yourself (multiple accounts), maybe even a clan? That's honestly fun as hell if you think about it.)

- (Timeskip: a few weeks)

"Vi! Thilia's eating some weird shit again!" Mylo groaned as Slathilia bit into a junk metal pipe and started eating it. Not only not having any problem with it, or chewing it, but he also looked to be enjoying his food.

Currently, him, the gang, along with another kid named Ekko, were in an alley in the cleaner side of the Undercity. They were just hanging out while Vi was showing them some boxing moves. And honestly, she was actually pretty impressive. Obviously, Thilia already knew that. But seeing it in person is a whole nother deal.

While Ekko and Powder watched in awe at how effortlessly he chewed actual metal, Vi groaned in annoyance. He had shown her that he didn't have any problems with eating anything, like wood, metal, iron, etc, and had assured her that nothing would happen. But well, it seemed like she saw him as another Powder. She worried about him, so she didn't want him doing anything that could hurt him.

Although, admittedly, it seemed somewhat nosy, Slathilia knew that she meant well. So instead of just outright ignoring her, or completely listening to her, he would just eat when he was hungry.

Which was always. (A/N: He my spirit animal fr.)

"Thilia." She gave him a stern look, but Thilia hummed in curiosity, confusing her before he took out something from the pile of metal junks he was eating :"Oh! Hey, check this out." Catching their attention as they turned to him.

"A guitar?" Powder asked curiously as she sat down next to him :"It doesn't seem to be in a bad shape either. Why is it in the junks?" Causing him to shrug :"I don't know. But really, although it's a little broken here and there, it's still mostly fine. At least fine enough to work, I think."

"Hahaha, what, you know how to sing now too?" Claggor chuckled before Thilia shrugged again, smirking :"Wouldn't know till I try, no?" Honestly, he knew. No, he wasn't a musician in his past life, and neither had he ever done anything music related. Maybe try and toy around with a guitar of his friend, but that was just once.

The reason why he knew how to play it was because of his Symbiotic Abilities. His Symbiotic Abilities, which were focused around technology and how to make, use and improve them, allowed him to know every information about everything and anything.

Basically, if he activated his Symbiotic Abilities, he wouldn't just be able to see objects and beings. He would be able to understand them. It was like whenever he activated those abilities, the knowledge and methods of their creation was automatically transferred into his mind.

At their full on activation, he could understand everything in his sight at a single glance. How to use them, how to create them, how to improve them, how to destroy them. And not just theoretical ways either, but the completely accurate methods.

Basically, if he saw it, he understood everything about it. How to use things also came with that understanding. Even without activating his abilities, he could still know how to use them. It's just that while inactive, he wouldn't be able to get the knowledge of creation and such. Just the method of use.

And so, upon picking up the guitar, it was like he was a master at playing it. Someone who had played guitars for years. But in fact, it was the first time he had held an actual guitar. With a focused look, he began to fix the strings that were loosened.

After fixing everything, he got ready to play a tune while the others watched in silence. As his fingers traced along the strings, he really did feel like a master as the music started playing. Not just the others, but he himself was also shocked by how easy it was for him.

His fingers moved without hesitation or confusion on the strings, creating gentle melodies as the others listened. Slowly, they began to take in and enjoy the music. As he himself did so. Unexpectedly, he really did play it well.

He couldn't help but close his eyes and play a gentle hum along with the music, smiling gently as the others also began to vibe with the music. Stopping his fingers, he nodded in an impressed manner, at awe at his own talent.

"Damn, Thilia... that was..." Vi trailed off, at a loss for words before Powder gave a huge smile :"Actually so awesome!" Finishing her sister's sentence :"That was really cool, Thilia! I've never heard anyone play a music so good!"

"Gotta admit, that was actually good." Mylo nodded, impressed at the music he had heard as Claggor pointed at his brother :"You know it was good when this guy stops being a bitch and compliments it."

"Screw you." Eyebrow boy rolled his eyes as Ekko threw his arms up in excitement :"That was awesome, Thilia! You even know how to play music?! What can't you do?!"

'Hug my parents.' The center of the attention curled his lips as Vi sat on his other side :"Yeah, they're right. That was cool as hell. I think you could even earn money with that."

"You think so?" He asked, finding truth in her words as she nodded with a smile :"I know so." Before Ekko grew even more excited :"Vi is right! If you find the right place, you can earn good money."

Vi :"Like where?"

Ekko :"Like an inn or a bar. He could even play in Vander's bar! Not only would that earn him some money, it may even attract more people into his bar! Both Thilia and Vander will gain money that way."

Powder :"Ekko's right! I'm pretty sure Vander would agree since both of them would benefit."

Ekko :"Yeah. Also, there's one more place that could definitely earn him some good cash."

Claggor :"Where?"

"There." The black-skinned (A/N: nig-) boy pointed at the tall buildings across the river, in Piltover.

Mylo :"Topside?!"

Vi :"You want him to perform in Piltover?! Absolutely not!"

Powder :"Yeah, who knows what those enforcers will do?! They'll probably beat him up for just seeing him there!"

Claggor :"But... Ekko has a point."

Vi :"Claggor?!"

Mylo :"Are you seriously saying that?!"

Claggor :"Calm down, geez. Think about. First of all, those Pilties will definitely pay good money. They are the ones who have money to spare on anything they want, not us Fissures who barely have money for ourselves. If he goes there, the money he'll earn will be nothing compared to here. Second of all, look at him. Does he really look like someone from Undercity?"

Turning to look, they all saw the adorable boy with perfect, healthy, unscathed and silk-like skin and beauty comparable to only those of stories looking at them curiously. Even Vi, who was so against the idea out of worry, couldn't help but agree with both reasons. Especially the second one.

(A/N: Quick reminder, this is a sole female lead story. The reason why I have them interact so much and for Vi to act so overprotective is so that MC will have friends. Unlike other stories where MCs are complete loners who authors make into cringe characters most of the time. He will also have a close relationship with Silco, who will be his father figure. There will be a lot of wholesome interactions between him, Jinx and Silco. Just Silco hanging out and being protective of his two murder children.)

"... Sigh, Thilia, what do you think? You're the subject of the conversation and all." Finally, Vi sighed in defeat and turned to the red eyed boy, who shrugged :"Honestly, I agree with Ekko and Claggor. I've seen the situation of the folks in Undercity, so I know that they won't pay attention, much less pay for music. If what you've guys said about Topside folks is true, then those rich people will definitely pay well."

Seeing him also agree, she couldn't help but sigh again. She knew they were right, but she had also seen what those enforcers could and would do just because they could. Who knows what they would do to such a child if they had weird ideas? Having grown up in Undercity, she had seen and heard of many disgusting and filthy things from childhood. If one of those sick bastards were to catch Slathilia, who had looks and an appearance unlike anything she had ever seen, God knows what horrible things they would do to him. Pedophiles weren't really rare as much as she knew. Forget about those guys who can just bribe the enforcers to ignore the helpless children from the Undercity.

"... Instead of deciding ourselves, let's go and ask Vander instead. We'll decide after hearing him too." In the end, she could only hope that Vander would see eye to eye with her. Shrugging at each other, they all followed Vi who walked towards the Lanes, and towards The Last Drop from there.

-

"Music performance? Slathilia?" After hearing the situation, Vander had a surprised face as he looked at the youngest child in the group, courtesy of Powder who was sick of being the youngest, so she took advantage of his memory loss and declared him younger than her, not that Slathilia minded :"You keep showing something new every day, Thilia. Now you know how to play music?"

Slathilia, shrugging :"Seems like it."

Vi :"So, what do you think? Should he do it? I think it's too risky. Who knows what those asshole enforcers will do?!"

Vander :"Hmm, you do have a point. But I think he should do it."

Vi :"Vander?!"

Vander :"Calm down. I know you're worried, and your worry is justified. But the risk isn't that great because of his looks, and the reward may very well be worth the little risk. Also, as long as he stays in a public area where there are too many people, not even those enforcers will be able to do anything without an actual reason."

Vi :"But still..."

Vander :"Well, in that case, why don't you go with him if you're so worried?"

Vi :"What?"

Vander :"You heard me. If you're so worried that something will happen, why don't you accompany him in case something happens? Aren't you confident in fighting?"

"Hmm..." Hearing his suggestion, a thoughtful expression took over Vi's face as she thought about it. The others stayed quiet and curious until she spoke :"Alright, that's fine." Before turning to Thilia :"Then that's what we're going to do. But let me warn you, Thilia. When we're up there, if you suddenly run off while I'm not watching you, like you always do..." Instead of finishing her sentence, she raised her clenched fist menacingly with a glare.

"Alright, alright, geez! Overdramatic much?" Slathilia raised his hands in surrender, causing the others to laugh at their interaction before Vander smiled :"By the way, Thilia, why don't you play something in the bar right now? I have to see if you're really that good, or these guys are just overreacting. I'll even pay you for it depending on how good it is."

"Hahaha, alright then! Prepare to empty your pockets, Vander!" He laughed confidently, causing the others to laugh and Vander to shake his head in amusement :"Then by all means, be my guest."

"Ooh, is this going to be the same as the one you played before?" Powder asked in excitement, but Thilia simply smirked :"Nah. All I have to say, is prepare a coffin." Confusing her and the others before he sat on a clean spot of the bar island. What did he play? One of the most legendary songs of his past life.

Coffin Dance.

Needless to say, people were literally dancing and jumping around. Just vibing the hell out of the music. That day, the bar turned into a club instead.
