"Now that you are saying it, I can now recall very clearly. The guy doesn't know a thing about the Cavern Cats but... Where he is, if his eyes are not that bad, he should have seen what is being done to us by those kittens. That should be enough to make him run away as far as he can, or probably the guy wants to die"
"I think you are right. I can't see any reason that may make the guy to remain standing there like a fool under the overwhelming group of Cavern Cats. The guy wants to die with us. This is the only viable reason that I can come up with."
"I hope that the guy holds back those Cavern Cats for some more time so that Olie Nyang can finish deciphering the fetter and then we can escape from this place." The captives, aka the remaining Sailors, murmured to themselves freely as the Cavern Cats had stopped handing them over to their kittens because most of them had gone to fight the intruder.
Olie Nyang didn't stop deciphering the fetter secretly. She was also among the lucky people that had not been handed over to the kittens.
"Putting our hope to the newbie guy is a very big shame to us. The guy will not even last for a second. I am very sure about that. When the Cavern Cats finish him, they will then take all their rage on us. No one amongst us is going to survive..."
"Look! That is impposible. How can the newbie guy be that strong all of a sudden! Unless..."
"Unless he was hiding his cultivation stage all along. But how can he do that! I have never heard of a treasure or a beast soul that can hide someone's cultivation stage."
"Maybe those of the top races knew about that." A person from the rodent race said while peeking at Olie Nyang. Olie Nyang herself was fuming inside as she continued to hear the incoherent talk of her fellow comrades. She didn't like being overshadowed, she liked to be the one in control, hearing what her fellow comrades were talking about just made her to be even more furious.
He had vowed to teach her comrades and Lazy Wafula a lesson if they survive this capture. How dare her comrades put their hope on the newbie guy? That was like comparing her to that human - from a lower race at that.
In the meantime, Lazy Wafula had activated all his cards. He was also going all out because the Cavern Cats were so many. But he was not sweating because of the overwhelming numbers of the Cavern Cats, instead, he was very excited inside, without showing it on his face.
He was after all, going to fill up his level one bar after killing all the cats for sure - that was only if nothing or nobody gets in his way.
Just after activating all his cards, his aura and temperament changed. It was as if he was not Lazy Wafula but another person.
All the captives gasped at this moment. They stopped what they were thinking or doing and stared at Lazy Wafula without wanting to miss a single thing.
The Cavern Cats on the other hand reduced their running speed to meet him because now that they were close to this person, they felt suffocated and their instincts were also warning them about the oncoming danger. They wanted to turn back and run to their caves but they then heard the roar of the Chubby King of the Cavern Cats which raised their spirits and they bared their fangs at Lazy Wafula intimidatingly.
They didn't like how they were behaving like cowards. It was merely a single person for heaven's sake. They on the other hand were so many. They can overwhelm the guy with their numbers, right? They growled and charged at their adversary, fearlessly.
Lazy Wafula on the other hand was undergoing a transformation at breakneck speed.
His eyes glowed red with a tint of darkness dancing in his Iris which made him look like a savage. He was no longer a human but a beast in disguise. His whole being blazed with dark fumes which distorted the very air around him.
Nevertheless, the dark fumes made him to smell like death itself. He was death and death was him. The ruler of death. His intimidating aura made the Sailors to have goosebumps all over their bodies.
They were not the ones that were going to fight Lazy Wafula but they can not help but want to flee from this place in fear that death will come to them if they remained seated there without doing anything. The face of Olie Nyang on the other hand changed. She had only seen and felt this death aura on those demons of higher realms.
Being a person that came from a higher race, she would always get to see the demons from time to time because the race of the demons and that of the Safaris were trade counterparts.
