Chapter 49 - Cavern cats (1

... The host will also have to pay more than needed..."

"Just apply that low level target scanner on my eyes, we can talk later about other things." Lazy Wafula interjected indifferently.

"Beep"

"Calculating transaction..."

[ Price of the merchandise : 100 energy points ]

[ Interest to be paid : 50 energy points ]

[ Total amount to be paid : 150 energy points ]

[ Time limit to pay the debt : 30 minutes ]

[ Failure to pay the debt on time will result in an increase of the interest needed to be paid by 50 energy points after every thirty minutes the host fail to secure the needed energy points. ]

"The thirty energy points in the account has been automatically taken by the shop as deposit. Host will now have to pay the remaining a hundred and twenty energy points for the debt"

Lazy Wafula was fuming inside, was this what the system meant by privilege? Privilege my foot. Just look at this interest that he will need to pay, this is ridiculous right? This interest rate is so high and absurd. He will never again buy anything from the shop on credit.

It was like daylight robbery, alright? What if he needed to but a commodity worth a million energy points on credit? Will he be required to pay five hundred thousand energy points as interest? That was stupid ok? The system was leeching on him, right?

The next moment, his eyes felt like they were being pricked by tiny needles which made Lazy Wafula to furrow his brows. His eyes became hazy at that moment.

But it only lasted for a micro second and then the pain was over. Now, the periphery of Lazy Wafula's eyes had a thin, white, oval line which was glowing brightly. His eyes now had several colours which made him look more like a machine than a human.

All his conversations with the system only lasted for half a second in the real world because the system was using the ability of time to stretch the time used for them to converse. Actually, he conversed with the system for twenty minutes in his mind but to the real world, it only lasted for half a second.

Unlike the Cavern Cats, the system was very much adept with the ability of time - although it was only a temporal measure as the system can not wield the ability like a law. Only sentimental beings were the ones who can withstand the power of laws and wield them.

Thirty minutes, that was the time that he was needed to kill the Cavern Cats worth a hundred and twenty energy points.

With the googles on, Lazy Wafula could easily see the Cavern Cats that were not adept with their ability of time. They were all encompassed by a red rectangular circle - that was the view from Lazy Wafula's eyes. He came to find out that even though the Cavern Cats that were not adept with their abilities were more in number than those that had the ability, those cats with abilities covered those that didn't have with their time area.

An ordinary person may think that those cats were moving in a haphazard manner but under the view of a higher realm expert or the target scanner that Lazy Wafula was wearing, one can see clearly that the Cavern Cats were in a much coordinated formation. If even a higher mortal level nine was not keen, they might be easily overwhelmed by these cats.

One must know that many of these cats were merely at the peak of level one with a few which were already at level two.

Lazy Wafula moved.

Lazy Wafula allowed the vast amount of dark energy in him which the cultivation plane had buffed him with, he allowed the energy into his sword making it moan fervently.

A glistening line of dark flame encompassed the sharp edges of the blade making the sword even more sharper and sinister. It released a shrill of enthusiasm wanting to reach the beasts very quickly so that it can break some bones and cut some flesh as it bathes in their blood.

The Cavern Cats seeing this, they felt even more insulted, they felt as if the mere weapon in the hand of Lazy Wafula was looking down upon them. They could n't take this to heart while lying down. That was a no, no. They had to obliterate that sword.
