Every story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. At times new things begins, where something has ended. Allow me to tell you how this new age had began.
A thousand years ago there was once a great clash between two men. Men with extraordinary power that are said to be comparable to the gods themselves. On one end, a red devil whos unparalleled strength and magic power could reshape entire realms. On the other, a warrior who was said to be deity in mortal form, and could reshape the entire mortal realm by nothing but their own will. Their clash lasted for days on end, ending only once one had fallen. However, the red-haired devil ended up becoming the one who had met such a tragic fate and their body was entombed into an undisclosed area that was watched over for eternity In case they were to ever return.
Their defeat ushered in a new age. An age where humanity had quickly grew in what one can call prosperity. An age of prosperity in all kinds had begun, the creation of new weapons, art and trades as well as a newly found religion to help commemorate the heroic battle over the red devil. The human governed kingdom is known as The Holy Kingdom of Iros, the deity of the Sun and is said to be the deity that defeated the red devil while in human form.
But of course an age that seemed prosperous was not all that it appeared to be. While humanity grew in strength, wealth, and power, the other races were looked down upon and treated as lesser creatures. The nobles are also rumored to take part in less than reputable activities. You would be considered lucky not to run into a corrupt noble family within the human kingdom.
The Elven Race, the oldest and arguably wisest race, was treated unjustly. Most heading into lands where the energies of the realm were strongest to creating a new empire, the Empire of Leina. While those unfortunate are captured and used as slaves for cheap labor, and other horrible acts of cruelty. A race once looked up to thanks to their intelligence and magical prowess were now treated no better than the dirt they walk on. Leaving relationships between the humans and elves... less than ideal.
The Beast-Kin, a humanoid race that has animalistic traits, were in a similar boat. Most were forced to flee into their territories. Forming tribes in secluded and nearly uninhabitable regions of the continent, from the snowy lands of the North to the deserts of the South. Those who didn't leave, adamant to keep the lands they see as theirs, were nearly all but slaughtered or captured and kept as pets. Despite such treatment, humanity harbors some fear towards the race, as they were once regarded as great hunters. Their physical power and senses being far superior to that of both humans and elves with very few being capable of transforming into powerful creatures. Despite this however, they are a very tribal race. Often separated by large distances, and wary of others outside their tribes, especially humans who venture into their territory.
The Dwarves meanwhile are somewhat better off than the other two. Known for their craftsmanship and ingenuity, they are the only race that is capable of forming open trade with the other races. Selling ore they obtained within the caves they claim, weapons and armor they create within their great forges, and even their mead for the taverns and inns willing to buy their powerful drinks. However, they are also looked down upon by the others in both a figurative and literal sense. Their size and the stereotypes given to them by the races making their interactions with others somewhat uneasy, yet they manage to get things done. Nearly every dwarf lives within a city that is made into the mountains. Their capital, Goorza, being the main region which a majority of their mines reside. Very few are known to live inside the human governed kingdom.
The last race is one that is feared by nearly all races. The Demon Race. Most view them as monsters, creatures that emerged from the depths of Hell ready to invade and take over at any given time. However, this is far from the truth. As the Dwarves have learned by their trades, they are as ordinary as humans. They are perhaps the most diplomatic of the races and have little to no relation to the monstrosities that reside in Hell. They even manage to form a society of their own, and welcome others who wish to visit their land. Despite this, their overall physical power and magic aptitude has gained the fear of both elves and humanity. Other than the Dwarves, there are little to no humans or elves that dare venture there in fear of being used for some ungodly ritual. It is due to these views that the Demon Race has its own army in case of any invasion by the humans or elves. Most simply call their kingdom the Demon Kingdom.
Now I ask you. What else does a story have? I believe the answer is quite obvious. A hero. So, who is the hero of this story? The very being that defeated the red devil himself, or some young man who was born from nothing, destined to become something new? The answer is neither. No. This story will follow the very devil who was defeated in battle, and the story he has to tell is very different from the one those in this new age have come to believe...
