Chapter 166 - SAVAGE LANDS

The Savage Lands, a continent situated on the northwestern part of the planet, was a realm of unbridled nature. Towering forests, akin to vast rainforests, sprawled across the land, punctuated by majestic mountain ranges that stretched towards the sky.

The fauna and flora of the continent thrived in this environment, with exotic creatures and lush vegetation flourishing in every corner. It stood on one of the planets tectonic plates hence it's mountainous nature and the volcanoes found on the continent.

The unique geography of the Savage Lands played a significant role in shaping the wind currents of the world. The mountain ranges, which stretched across the continent like a spine, disrupted the flow of air, creating pockets of turbulence and unpredictable wind patterns. The forests, with their dense canopies and towering trees, further complicated the wind currents, creating areas of low pressure and high pressure that influenced the global weather patterns.

The Savage Lands were home to a diverse array of tribes, comprising beastmen, Forest elves, lizardmen, and humans, all living in harmony with the unforgiving yet breathtaking landscape.

‎Despite its natural beauty, the Savage Lands were often misunderstood by outsiders. The native inhabitants, collectively known as the "Savages," were viewed as barbaric and backwards due to their reclusive nature and tendency to execute outsiders who failed to respect their customs. Rumors of cannibalism and savagery spread far and wide, casting a dark shadow over the continent. However, a few had managed to establish trade networks with the Savages, fostering a fragile understanding between the people of Archadia, Heliopolis, Ezkanur, and the Savage Lands.

‎The Savage Lands were dotted with impressive stone cities, featuring teocalli-like pyramids and stelae that stood as testaments to the ingenuity and sophistication of the native inhabitants. These structures blended seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, as if grown from the very earth itself. On a typical day, the people of the Savage Lands went about their daily lives, living in harmony with the land and their traditions.

That afternoon was like every other day. The people were going about their own business.

Without warning, a blindingly bright flash illuminated the sky, followed by a deafening explosion that shattered the tranquility of the continent. The blast was so powerful that it obliterated a portion of the volcanic chain that ran through the continent, sending shockwaves through the earth.

The ground trembled beneath the feet of the inhabitants, causing them to stumble and lose their balance. The air was filled with the acrid smell of smoke and ash, which hung heavy over the landscape like a pall. The once-clear skies were now filled with a thick haze of dust and debris, blocking out the sunlight and casting a gloomy shadow over the land.

Sasha floated above the sea of molten lava, her eyes fixed on the churning, fiery landscape below. With a swift motion, she raised her hand and a portal appeared above the molten rock and seemed to sink into it, teleporting into the nearby sea. Simultaneously, she exerted her control over gravity, causing the crater to sink further and the edges to rise, forming a natural barrier that contained the lava and prevented it from spreading towards the nearby settlements. The air was filled with the acrid smell of smoke and ash, but Sasha's actions had mitigated the disaster, saving countless lives. As the people nearby scrambled in order to deal with the situation she turned back to look at the cloud Infront of her. Afigure emerged from the dust cloud, a shimmering barrier surrounding him. The Goblin King, his eyes blazing gazed out at the devastation.Sasha, her sword at the ready, sized him up for weaknesses. He smirked .

"I must say, I didn't expect you to attack me the moment we stepped through the portal," he said, his voice dripping with arrogance.

"I thought we could have a civilized conversation."

Sasha didn't respond and just stared at him. Receiving no response,he continued.

"Oh, come now. You're doing all this for that human, aren't you? I can understand that he's been weakened recently – that battle he fought must have taken a lot out of him. I mean he was able to bypass my inherent durability even in this state. But surely, you can see that he's just a human? Fragile, weak, and ephemeral."

Sasha's expression turned cold, her voice icy.

"You don't know what you're talking about, so shut up. Darling gave me a task , and I'll see it through, no matter what it takes."

The Goblin King regarded her for a moment, his expression thoughtful. Then, his face twisted into a sneer.

"Ah, how quaint. You think you're doing this out of loyalty or duty, but really, you're just a pawn. And as for your precious human, he's nothing but a mere mortal. I'll crush him beneath my heel. "

Sasha's eyes flashed with anger, her sword trembling with rage.

"You're not going to touch him," she snarled.

The Goblin King laughed, his voice echoing through the desolate landscape.

"Oh, but I will. And as for you, you'll become the first member of the harem I'm going to build. Either way you can fight me, try to resist, but in the end, you'll succumb to my power. I am the Goblin King, after all."

" And if I break you?" Sasha asked.

" Though it's unlikely, then I might as well become your servant.Sasha smiled licking her lips.

" Deal" she said under her breath.

"But don't get ahead of yourself. I have yet to lose in battle" He replied.

" Yet." Sasha added as she brandished her sword and made her stance.

With a flourish, the Goblin King dispelled his barrier, and released his aura, his eyes gleaming with malevolent intent.

The Goblin King and Sasha clashed above the skies of the Savage Lands, their battle raging across the continent like a tempest. The air rippled with tension as the two combatants exchanged blows, their movements lightning-fast and their powers locked in a struggle for dominance.

The Goblin King summoned a wave of flames that shot towards Sasha like a blazing comet. But Sasha, her sword shining with an otherworldly light, raised her hand and manipulated the gravity around her, creating a localized gravity field that warped the trajectory of the flames. The fireball veered off course, exploding harmlessly in the distance.

Undeterred, the Goblin King summoned massive boulders from within the landscape around, each the sound of a small house with the end chiseled to form sharp points , hurling them towards Sasha from all directions with incredible force. But Sasha, anticipating the attack, used her spatial magic to manipulate the mass of the boulder, reducing its weight to almost nothing. The boulder floated harmlessly in mid-air, its momentum lost.Sasha then shot towards the king swinging diagonally but he blocked with his bracelets. She absorbed the excess energy from the clash to protect the surroundings but it still caused a shockwave that tore through a the town opening they had appeared in. She grabbed the king and threw him into the distance and flew after him. He retaliated by affecting the moisture around supercharging it and hitting the approaching warrior with a lightning strike. Sasha deflected the lightning which ended up hitting the nearby forests starting fires that began to consume the rainforests.

"Rain" Sasha said pointing her fingers at him.She the unleashed a barrage of spatial slashes at the King who parried them with his arms but wasn't fast enough and had a large "X" carved onto his chest. The wound began closing but opened again.

" A spatial attack?!" The Goblin King snarled in frustration, his eyes flashing with anger.

The Goblin King unleashed a wave of intense heat, warping the air around him and creating a localized Distortion , mimicking her earlier spatial attack to unleash a barrage of attacks.

Sasha, anticipating the attack, used her mastery of space to create a series of miniature wormholes that absorbed the blasts and allowed her to dodge and weave around the distorted air.

As she emerged from the wormholes, she struck back with a slash of her sword, using the the King's distorted space to curve the blade's trajectory and strike the Goblin King from an unexpected angle, stabbing him in the shoulder.

The Goblin King retaliated by generating a massive Thermal Gradient, creating a region of intense heat that seemed to draw Sasha inexorably towards him. But Sasha countered by creating a localized pocket of Negative Space-Time Density, allowing her to move towards the Goblin King while simultaneously appearing to move away from him. As she closed in, she unleashed a flurry of strikes, using her portals to create multiple simultaneous attacks that seemed to come from all directions at once. The Goblin King stumbled back, his heat-based attacks faltering in the face of Sasha's mastery of space.

He then clapped his hand creating a heatwave that repelled everything around him, pushing Sasha back.

The Goblin King then took advantage of this opening using his heat to create massive whirlwinds of distorted air molecules, and Sasha countering by teleporting them away and came close engaging the KIng in close combat. Multiple images of them fighting appeared all over the continent because they moved so fast they left after images in their wake.As the fight intensified, the landscape around them began to distort and writhe, being twisted and torn apart as the two fought. The air was filled with the sound of shimmering particles and the smell of ozone, as the two combatants clashed in a maelstrom.

Mountains crumbled, their peaks shattered by the shockwaves generated by the clash of the two. Valleys were flooded with molten lava, the rivers of fire burning away everything in their path. Forests were incinerated, the flames consuming everything from the ancient trees to the smallest insects.

Despite the devastation, Sasha did her best to and mitigate the damage to the surrounding area. With each blow, she used her spatial magic to manipulate the gravity and mass of the environment, creating localized gravity fields that contained the destruction and prevented it from spreading.

She created pockets of calm within the storms the king created, shielding the innocent people and animals from the worst of the destruction. Her sword shone with an intense light, absorbing the energy from each clash and preventing it from causing further harm to the environment.

At some point she physically went to redirect the flow of volcanic ash into a settlement, redirect it into the flow of incoming lava. The two then solidified as a result. She then turned even as the people watched and put a barrier around the city and flew off. The people stood staring, awestruck.

As the battle raged on, the landscape of the Savage Lands was transformed into a scene of utter devastation. The skies were darkened by the ash and smoke, the air thick with the acrid smell of burning rock and metal.

Despite the chaos, Sasha's efforts to protect the innocent were evident. The people and animals of the Savage Lands, though frightened and displaced, were largely unharmed. They huddled together in the barriers created by Sasha, watching in awe as the two combatants clashed above them.

The Goblin King, however, seemed to care little for the destruction he was causing. His eyes blazed with malevolent intent, his powers focused solely on defeating Sasha and claiming victory.

Sasha taunted the Goblin King, her sword flashing.

"I thought you were a swordsman," she said. "So far, you've only used magic and long ranged attacks. Why,are you that desperate to avoid being gutted?"

The Goblin King sneered, his eyes flashing with anger.

"I only use my sword on people who are a threat worthy of my attention," he said. "You're not quite there yet." He tilted his head to avoid a jab from Sasha, but it was a feint. She transitioned seamlessly into a swing, which the Goblin King dodged, but not quite quickly enough. The blade tapped his horn, and he jumped back, touching his head.

He looked down at his palm, a strange expression on his face. Blood flowed from a cut on his forehead, and he looked up at Sasha in rage .

"You.... " he said, his voice dripping with malice. Suddenly, a massive portal appeared above the continent, and the tip of a sword slowly descended. The Goblin King smiled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "This is my blade,. It's so volatile that I have it stored in another dimension.

"Due to its...nature," he said.

"I manifest it partially."

Sasha watched warily as the sword descended, its power radiating outward like a palpable force. The people of the continent wat he'd in horror as what seemed like the end decended.

The Goblin King gestured, and the sword dropped faster, its tip aimed squarely at Sasha. She raised her sword to block, but the Goblin King laughed. "It's futile," he said. "My sword is as strong, if not stronger, than the sacred blade you wield." Sasha smiled, a fierce glint in her eye.

"Is it your Desire to defeat me?" she asked. The Goblin King nodded, his eyes burning with intensity.

" This is your end."

Sasha's smile grew wider.

The Supreme Enchantment Desire is an ability that allows Sasha to use the the desires of others to create illusion that is tailored to their specific weaknesses. It was so powerful that she can exchange these them with real-life events, bringing their desires into being in a way that is detrimental to their own interests.

In essence, the enchantment allows Sasha to turn her opponent's own desires against them, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy that can be devastatingly effective. By using Desire, Sasha can also gain a profound insight into her opponent's thoughts which she can then alter to manipulate her opponent.

With a flick of her wrist, Sasha used her desire to parry the attack manipulating the Goblin King's desire to defeat her and exchanging it with a real-life event that is his defeat. There was a blinding flash as the sword struck the ground the force knocking the king down.

The continent shuddered, and the land began to break apart, fragmenting into a cluster of islands. Sasha panted, looking out at the scattered land masses.

She used her spatial awareness to scan the area, and a look of relief crossed her face. No one was dead all the people had survived. She floated down to the figure of the Goblin King, who floated on the ocean, his horn broken. He closed his eyes, expecting death, but Sasha merely tapped her sword on him, and a brand appeared on his forehead.

"I won," she said, her voice firm.

"You're my servant now." The Goblin King's eyes snapped open, and he looked up at Sasha in surprise. Then, a slow smile spread across his face.

"Well, that's a first," he said. He floated up, his eyes locked on Sasha's.

" May I know your name?" He inquired.

" It's Sasha."

"Grant me a name then, mistress Sasha," he said with a bow. Sasha thought for a moment, then nodded.

"Gwaltchmey, after your nation," she said. "And your first name will be...Kamau."

Everyone stared at Sasha as she concluded her story.

" So you decimated a continent?" Rey asked for clarification.

" Uh-huh " Sasha replied cheerfully.

Everyone was too stunned to say anything else. Kojo just walked to his room. The others watched him leave. He closed the door behind him and lay in bed, covering himself with blankets and closed his eyes. He decided to not think about what he had just heard and tried to sleep. He then imagined the look of glee on Sasha's face as she fought.

" AAAAAARRRRRHHHHHHHH!!!"
