Lian and Ding sat in an awkward silence for a while and when it became unbearable, Ding pushed him off him and he landed a few feet away from him with a loud splash.
"Ouch…"
Ding hurried out of the water and Lian sat up in a daze. He watched as he rushed out nearly slipping in his haste.
As the sun dipped over the horizon, the cold breeze blew and Lian shuddered from the cold and rushed out from the river. Ding had gotten a fire starting and Lian sat opposite the burning flames his hands stretched out in front of him.
"Get out of those clothes, I'll dry them for you."
"Really?" Lian asked and pulled off his shirt," here."
He hugged himself, rubbing his hands over his forearm seeking warmth. Ding saw this and pulled his own shirt from his body and tossed it at him.
Lian looked up in surprise and Ding turned his head away coughing dryly," You can wear this while I dry your shirt."
