Lian slowly stirred at the inaudible voices around him.
"Look, he's coming to," Asahi said as he saw Lian open his eyes.
"See, I knew all he needed was a good rest and peace of mind. Look at him, the colour that drained from his face is back," Tsun's voice sounded from a few feet away.
The darkness from Lian's eyes slowly cleared and the ceiling came into focus. He slowly turned his head, raised his hand and opened his mouth to speak but no words came from his throat.
Asahi noticed this and moved to help him up bit Ding stopped him before he could do anything.
"Sir?"
"You can both leave. I'll take care of him," he said with a tone of finality.
Asahi opened his mouth to protest but Tsun chuckled nervously and dragged him away. When the two left, Ding walked towards the bed and grabbed Lian's outstretched hand in his, placing a kiss on his knuckles before squeezing it gently.
