Lian stirred and opened his eyes. He looked around and his blurry sight gradually became clearer and clearer. He slowly sat up grabbing his throbbing head. He was still unsure of the place he was in at the moment when he heard a door close shut.
"Lian? You're finally up?"
In his confused state, he didn't need to know that the voice belonged to Rin.
He opened his mouth to speak but his throat hurt as he said the word 'Rin'.
Rin rushed to his side, placing the tray she had carried on the side table," Hey! Don't just move all of a sudden."
Lian managed a weak nod and allowed Rin to set him back down against the pillows, with a sigh she spoke in a worried tone," You just had to scare the hell out of me, didn't you? Can't you go without doing that?"
