Asahi sat on the window seal and looked out onto the garden which was tainted black as far as the eye could see. He watched as a few men busied themselves salvaging what they could and sighed.
Two guys who were directly below the window raised their heads and saw him.
"Asahi, is everything okay?" The first guy asked and Asahi nodded.
"Everything's fine. Find anything yet?"
The men shook their heads and Asahi leapt down from the window and stood before them.
"Nothing at all?"
"Nope. We've been searching for weeks now and still no sign of anything. That fire must have burnt everything to a crisp," someone said and Asahi waved his hand dismissing the men.
They walked away and Asahi kicked a burnt floorboard.
"It must be here somewhere," he said to himself and bent down searching the burnt artefacts," it must be.. it has to be here."
