Lian struck him with his elbow, muttered some curses under his breathe and walked away with bags in his hands.
Ding gripped his side stomach an amused smirk on his lips," No way... Lian is actually kinda cute when embarrassed."
He picked the remaining bags and headed into the compound.
That night, the table was lain with some common dishes consisting of rice and vegetable stew. The lady apologised for the little they had at the time since they didn't expect to have any guests and Ding waved her off.
After dinner, the lady showed Ding and Lian to their room.
"Apologies, I hope you don't mind sharing a room. I'll bring a spare mattress and beddings for you."
She turned to leave and they got into the room.
The room was dust free and had a pleasant smell, one which was not of mold. Ding walked towards the bed and sat on it.
"Guess they clean the rooms every once in a while, this place is spotless."
