Chapter 27 - The Day of Award

Today is a significant day for many people, including Susima.

Many individuals have been preparing for this day for months to showcase their inventions.

It should not be just a hypothesis, but a fact that can be proven with mathematics or practical examples for inventions to truly belong to their creators.

Several people have submitted their research on different types of medicines, but some have exaggerated their claims.

However, after testing, it has been concluded that their medical research either does not belong to them or is incorrect, resulting in their removal from the competition.

Out of the 146 participants, only 54 had valid research and were able to demonstrate and prove their claims.

As Susima walked, many people saluted him with the respect given to a Crown Prince due to his unique attire.

He was dressed in a dhoti kurta with a jacket on top.

He was heading towards the venue for the award ceremony.

The palace was beautifully decorated for the ceremony, with many people and servants carrying food, flowers, and other decorations to enhance its beauty.

Since the ceremony would take place near the palace area, everyone understood the grandeur of the palace, leading Susima's father, Bindusar, to order its decoration.

During the award ceremony, 25 individuals with outstanding research will be recognized and awarded based on their ranking.

The first-place winner will receive a golden trophy, 10,000 gold coins, and an award from the emperor himself.

The remaining participants from second to twenty-fifth place will receive awards from other ministers, with the importance placed on the first-place winner.

Before presenting the awards, each participant will have the opportunity to introduce their invention, explain its benefits to Bharat, and discuss its future implications.

After providing all the necessary information, they can delve into the core aspects of their research.

Furthermore, each participant will have five minutes to deliver a speech in front of the emperor.

These are the events that will unfold throughout the day, taking up the majority of the time.

Afterwards, there will be a banquet for all the attendees.

Many knowledgeable individuals, such asgyanesh, brahmans, and pandits, have come to Patliputra, prompting Susima's father to invite them all to the banquet.

"This is the plan for today. Let's move forward," Susima thought as he started making his way towards the ceremony venue.

He was unaware of how many people from his side had been selected or who would secure first place. Everything was left to his father and the court.

As he arrived at the ceremony, all eyes were on him. He looked adorable, and everyone wanted to pinch his cheeks, including his father.

After a brief moment, he had to leave as time was running out.

The award ceremony was about to commence, and Susima was certain that there were over a million people present to witness it.

A speaker stepped onto the stage and began expressing gratitude towards the emperor and the Crown Prince for proposing and allowing the ceremony to take place.

Following that, many people exclaimed, "Maharaj Bindusar aur Yuvraj ki Jay," showcasing their happiness and gratitude.

Bindusar stood up and acknowledged everyone by clasping his hands together.

Susima followed suit, showing his respect.

The speaker continued, "The 25th rank goes to Chandra Raman, who has created a unique method to make steel rust-free for an extended period. This invention will greatly benefit our industries."

Chandra Raman then took the stage, accepted the award, and proceeded to introduce his invention.

He thanked his family, everyone who had supported him, and, most importantly, the emperor and the Crown Prince.

As he stepped down from the stage, many people applauded and marveled at his research.

The next candidate was announced, "Next is Shaligram, who has discovered nut bolts, gears, screwdrivers, and many other steel equipment."

Susima was thrilled to see one of his acquaintances on stage. This invention had been given to Shaligram by Susima.

Shaligram explained all the tools he had created and their various applications.

The speaker continued announcing the candidates, and they came up one by one to showcase their research.

Finally, the time for the top 10 announcement had arrived. Out of the remaining participants from 25 to 11, only five were from Susima's side, while the rest were awarded to others. Some inventions focused on increasing the speed of crop planting, creating bioplastic from beetles, and advancements in medicine and astronomy.

Susima's team received awards for cement, biogas-based crop fertilizer, steel forging, clothes dyeing and stitching machines, and steel equipment.

As the top 10 rankings were about to be revealed, Susima was confident that at least five positions would be secured by his team, although he did not know which ones.

Refreshments were served, consisting of lemon juice and chips.

People began to eat and enjoy themselves, and many women approached the creator of the lemon juice to ask for the recipe.
