The following morning, I awoke around seven o'clock to find Mother already departed. I was alone in bed.
"It's so early," I mused, yearning for more sleep. I eventually rose and made my way to my room, careful to avoid being seen as I passed through the empty hallway. Mother was in the kitchen preparing breakfast.
After a forty-five-minute freshening up in the bathroom, I dressed and sat down at my computer.
"I have some time before breakfast," I thought, "I'll check my messages and the news."
As soon as I opened the computer, Kevin's message about Victor appeared.
"Hi Alas, I've uncovered some information about that bastard Victor Snow. He's the son of one of the wealthiest families, the Snows. His father is Reley Snow and his mother is Violet Snow. They used to live outside Ruby City, but Victor is here alone. I don't know his plans or intentions, but he's likely the one who set us up.I'll send you his location if I learn more."
"I don't think this little boy Victor is up to anything," I dismissed. "It's probably a coincidence or something else entirely. If someone wanted to harm us, they would have already done so."
"However, as he remains under suspicion, I cannot allow him to live. It would undoubtedly cause me future trouble. Knowing his address, I will eliminate him tomorrow to increase my power."
"Moreover, as my family is unharmed, I see no reason to concern myself with these inconsequential individuals." I concluded, closing the message.
A sudden recollection struck me.
"I remember Shasha was also there, in the hospital. But I have no involvement with her. It's best if she avoids me. If she returns, however, I will eliminate her to increase my power." I thought, shutting down the computer as there was nothing else to do but focus on gaining power.
Descending to the hall, I found my family as usual. Aunt sipped tea while my sisters ate breakfast.
"Good morning, everyone," I greeted them, taking a seat at the dining table.
"Good morning, Alas," Kavya replied with a smile.
"Good morning, little brother," my older sister said.
"Good morning, baby," Mom added.
"Good morning, little Alas," Aunt chimed in.
It seems as if nothing unusual happened yesterday, I thought.
"Here, Alas, your breakfast," Mom said, placing two plates before me. I paid little attention, simply consuming the food.
"Do you all understand what happened yesterday and about me?" I inquired while eating.
My question was met with intense scrutiny from everyone.
"What happened? Why are you all looking at me like that? If you have questions, ask," I stated while drinking fruit juice.
"Little Alas, I believe you, but what you said seems impossible," Aunt began hesitantly.
"Yes, what Sister said is true. I believe you, baby, but it's hard to comprehend," Mom added, receiving nods from my sisters.
"To clarify, I can provide proof to dispel any doubt," I offered.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Okay, watch closely. Kavya, close your eyes," I instructed.
"Why? You said you'd show us something. How can I see it if I close my eyes?" Kavya asked quickly.
"Yes, little brother, why must Kavya close her eyes?" my older sister questioned.
"You'll understand. Just come here," I replied. Kavya moved to stand in front of me.
"Now, how will you prove anything like that?" Aunt inquired.
"Kavya, do you all understand why I stopped before harming her?" I inquired, my gaze fixed on Kavya.
"No, we don't. We thought you loved Kavya," Aunt replied.
"That's incorrect," I stated, snapping my fingers. Instantly, my sister lost consciousness. I caught her gently, cradling her on my lap with her head resting on my chest.
"What happened to Kavya?" Mother asked urgently, approaching us.
"Yes, Alas, what happened to her?" Aunt echoed.
"Don't panic, simply observe," I instructed, placing my hands on Kavya's chest and positioning my palm over her heart.
"Little brother, what are you doing?" Big sister inquired with a curious smile, her eyes on my hand positioned over my sister's chest.
"Watch closely," I said, withdrawing my palm. A radiant red and pure black pendant emerged from Kavya's chest.
"What is that?" Everyone exclaimed, their expressions filled with astonishment. 'Did that luminous object truly emerge from Kavya's body? How did it get there in the first place?' Aunt wondered, gazing at the exquisite pendant.
"Little brother, what is this? It's incredibly beautiful, but how did it come from Kavya's body?" Big sister asked, examining the pendant closely.
"Do you all find it beautiful?" I asked.
"Yes, it's beautiful, but how did it emerge from Kavya's chest?" Aunt questioned curiously, leaning forward so that I could see the cleavage of her attire.
"Yes, how?" Mother asked in surprise.
"Listen carefully. While I was in Mother's womb, I foresaw this possibility, so I placed my pendant within Kavya's body. If I were to lose control, it would prevent further destruction."
"Do you all understand why this pendant is within her? It can also help you comprehend my abilities," I explained.
"Yes, I understand, little Alas. You are incredibly powerful," Aunt said, astonishment evident in her voice. 'But the powers and knowledge little Alas is describing are beyond human capability. Could he be a deity?' Aunt pondered.
"Wow, little brother, how did you do that? You seem like some kind of God," Big sister exclaimed.
"Yes, baby, this is something a God could do. You were conscious within my womb and performed many extraordinary feats. Tell me, baby, are you a God or something?" Mother asked excitedly. 'If my son is truly a God, then...' She couldn't fathom the extent of her happiness.
"Yes, little Alas, we want to know everything about you. Who are you? How did you acquire such divine power? Even the way you healed yourself seemed like a godly ability, capable of reviving the dead," Aunt asked eagerly, her excitement reaching new heights.
"Yes, little brother, I also want to know who you are, but don't worry, whatever you are, you will always be my brother," Big sister said with a reassuring smile.
"Okay, okay, I'll tell you, but first let me awaken my sister," I said, placing my hand once again on my sister's heart. The pendant vanished, and simultaneously, my sister opened her eyes.
"Hmm... What happened? Why are you all looking at me like that?" Sister asked, opening her eyes to find everyone gazing at her intently.
"Oh, Kavya, you're fine. Good, now baby, continue your story," Mom said, moving closer to me and sitting in another chair. 'It seems Alas truly possesses divine power. Kavya seems fine, which makes me even more curious about him.' A smile adorned her face.
"Yes, little Alas, continue," Aunt said, settling into a chair as well.
"Okay," I began.
"Wait, what are you all talking about, and why am I sitting on your lap? Let me go," Kavya said, attempting to stand but failing due to her weakened state.
"Don't bother yourself, sister. Just lie down, rest, and listen carefully," I said, patting her head.
"Hmm, okay... Ay..." Kavya replied, burying her face in my chest to hide her blushing face.
'What is this idiot doing, making me sit on his lap in front of everyone, and everyone is looking at us. Aaaaa, I want to disappear!' Kavya thought, continuing to hide her face while I rubbed her head.
'I don't hate sitting on his lap and hugging him like this, but why in front of everyone?' Kavya pondered, her beautiful face turning red.
