You would think Lea's decision was foolish if you were a human. But she was making a tactical decision for the betterment of humanity.
As strong as this creature was, it was a risk to kill and a risk to keep as well.
If the creature could not control itself, it would swallow human cities one at a time. And trying to contain it was impossible with the current technology.
On the other hand, Lea could not kill this creature without angering the rift. And that would tip the scales in this war, causing the rift to start picking human cities to destroy to take out its anger.
"Stay?...have an option?"
The creature asked in a clear voice. It had seen Lea use her vocal cords and decided to adapt to them.
