"Lea, will your friends behave themselves? Normally, I would not care if your friends sneak in, but we are up against a senate member this time. We cannot allow anything to go wrong. Lea, why are you grinning like that?"
Cage had a sinking feeling in her heart when she noticed Rachael's huge grin. It was never a good sign for Lea to look amused.
"I did not know you cared so much about my friends. It warms my heart to see this. Don't worry. I am sure that Sara and Emily will be here soon."
Lea's voice was full of assurance. And that was the last thing Cage wanted from her.
'Hey, I think you made a mistake in understanding what I meant to say. I *don't* want your friends here.'
Of course, saying this out loud would only encourage Lea's impulsive behaviour. The only thing Cage could do in this situation was to hold her temper.
"I guess expecting any sense from your chosen people is useless. I can just hope that they do not get themselves caught."
