"Government? Do you want me to ask for help from the government? Hah, so that's your plan, huh? Do you think I am naive enough not to know what the government would do once it has access to our town? It will be like exchanging one evil for another."
Ceaser complained with passion.
Lea could see his reluctance to accept foreign help, especially when the help belonged to the government. But Ceaser did not have a choice in this matter.
"Alright, I won't force you to accept the government if you don't want to, but I cannot offer you any more help. You see, even I am bound by rules and regulations. Good luck having to deal with that thing now."
Lea stood up and started to walk out.
That made Ceaser panic because he had not expected Lea to refuse him coldly.
He had thought that she would try to negotiate a bit here, and he could get a better deal out of her.
But that was not the case at all.
