And the doorbell ringed one more time as it was opened. All four turned the head to look at who it was.
"Inaya, done with the shift?" Johan walked. He was not wearing uniforms but casuals. The black jacket paired with black Jean and grey t-shirt made him look sexy. The three looked at Inaya.
"Sir, it is best if we leave now," the secretary reminded Harrison Bow. He nodded and turned away to leave, and he placed his business card on the counter.
"Remember," he said to Inaya before he disappeared.
"Ryan, what are you doing here?" Asked Inaya.
"I came.. I came.." he stuttered and immediately looked at something next to him and picked it up. "I was walking by and came to get this," Ryan lied. Meanwhile, Johan kept watching Harry's car leave.
"Okay," Inaya said and moved towards the cash counter. Ryan placed a packet of pen and chocolate for billing. He expected to get her alone, but apparently, another guy seemed to be waiting for her.
"Okay," Ryan said.
"Want to add a carry bag?" Inaya asked.
"No, thank you," Ryan replied and took a glimpse at Johan again.
"How come you are in this area?" Inaya asked.
"Was visiting a friend?" Ryan lied again.
"Ooh, okay," Inaya smiled.
"Never seen you here before. When did you start worming here?" Ryan asked.
"Just a week," Inaya replied. "All right then," she concluded the conversation to send Ryan out and ask Johan about something.
Ryan was disappointed and walked as his plan did not go as he imagined it.
"Who is that guy?" Meanwhile, Johan asked Inaya. "Why does he look familiar? "
"That is Harrison Bow," Inaya sighed and settled down on the stool.
"Harold Bow's?" Johan looked serious.
"Yes, his brother, who bailed him," Inaya said the truth.
"Did he threaten you?" Johan grew more serious.
"No. He did not," Inaya shook her head. "He asked me to settle the case outside court," Inaya shrugged.
"That is all?" Johan was sure there is more to it.
"No," Inaya began. "He said if I refuse to settle, then their father will get into this case and that I would be in deep deep deep trouble," Inaya exhaled once again.
"And what have you decided to do? " Johan asked.
"I guess it is good to settle it, that take this to court. I don't want trouble. I don't want any attention. I don't want to get into any dangers," she made herself very clear to Johan. Johan stared at her, and then he nodded. He took a deep breath, taking his hands out of his jeans pockets.
"Whatever you feel is right, do it," Johan chose to agree with her.
He was well aware of what the rich business magnates are capable of. And being a witch and a shape shifter, he did not want to get the attention and expose themselves either.
"Let's proceed with it, settling outside the court," Johan agreed. "The Bow family is one of the most influential families in this state. Offending them means the end of a peaceful life. No one dared to hurt them," Johan gave her the information.
"Whether influential or not, Harold was wrong. But anyway, this decision is for our own safety. And I will never put you in any sort of trouble, " Inaya smiled but sounded very concerned. Johan smiled and walked towards her. He pinched her cheek lightly.
"Come, let's go, do some shopping, you need a bed, blankets, and bed spreads," he reminded her.
"And also pots and pans, for kitchen," she said excitedly.
"Yes, yes, yes, all of it," Johan agreed with her.
"Let me make a call to the store owner," she said and excused herself.
Fifteen minutes later, Inaya walked out of the storage room. "What took you so long?"
"Man was so stubborn and did not want me to close the store before 10 pm," Inaya. "But then," Inaya smiled.
"No, you did not," Johan said.
"I kind of did," she giggled.
"Be careful and do not ever get caught, Inaya," Johan warned her and then helped her with closing the shop.
The two walked down the road towards a furniture store.
"Look at this," Johan showed Inaya a lot of beds that had different layers that provide healthy and safe sleep.
"No," but Inaya was rejecting every single model as it was all above her budget.
Johan understood this. "You forgot that it's my gift, did you?"
"What?" Inaya was surprised. "No, you already got me a gift, the phone."
"No. This is house warming gift. People gift things to their loved during so many special occasions," Johan convinced her.
Inaya still had trouble accepting it. And in the end he got her 8 layered mattress with various health benefits. And along with it bought bed spread and blanket.
"Thank you," she thanked him and they walked towards a wholesale kitchen utensils shop.
"I will buy these," she cleared in the beginning itself.
