Sonia climbed the steps towards the entrance of her company. "We did not discuss in detail in the garden when we spoke last time but, I'm assuming you'll understand there are things better left unanswered."
"I know," Edna said because when they conversed in the garden last time, they discussed other things instead of talking about what happened in the clearing or with their items.
"Then will you consider?" Sonia said as she gave the company guards a nod.
As she headed in, they couldn't help but stare at her bare face.
"I'm grateful for your generosity, but I have to say no. I have a job," Edna replied.
"I'll pay thrice the amount of your salary."
"I'm sorry but no."
"Alright then. I won't force you, but can you leave your number behind?"
Sonia heard the chirping of birds for a few seconds.
"I'll give it to Martah," Edna said.
