As the evening settled in and the last of Silas' classes came to an end, the dormitory began to quiet down. Most students had already retreated to their rooms, eager for rest after the day's lessons. The soft murmur of conversation and the occasional laugh echoed faintly through the halls, but Silas didn't head to his own room like the others.
Instead, he made his way purposefully through the dimly lit corridors, his footsteps barely making a sound on the polished floors. His destination was different tonight. Reaching Victor's room, he paused briefly before knocking on the door a couple of times. The sound was firm but not too loud, carrying just enough weight to be heard without disturbing the quiet of the night.
