"Guys, I may have fucked up," Marlene sank into her chair, holding her face in her hands.
"Huh? What happened?" Silas leaned forward, after placing his fork down on the edge of his plate. Calix leaned in as well.
"You both know of the eyes, correct?" Marlene asked, causing Calix to look extremely uneasy while Silas couldn't control his eagerly curious expression. "I'll take that as a yes."
"Wait, wait, wait…" Calix cut her off. "Can we not talk about it?"
"Fine, we'll discuss it back at Silas' place."
"What? Why my-?" However, Silas was quickly cut off, seemingly having no control over this situation.
"No, I meant not to talk about it at all. They're always watching. And I don't feel like dying yet."
