The very next day, amidst a Technomancy and Gadgetry class, Silas gently rubbed his system connector as it let out quick spurts of wind into the surrounding atmosphere. It would quickly disperse moments later, however, the professor at the front of the class caught him.
"Silas, please stop that. It's a distraction to the rest of the class," Professor Thessara announced, causing Silas to quickly sink back into his seat.
"What are you thinking about?" A voice whispered from beside him.
The young boy seated next to Silas bore the unmistakable aura of a studious and nerdy demeanor. His slightly disheveled mop of chestnut brown hair clung to his head like an unruly nest, framing a pair of oversized, square-shaped glasses that perched precariously on the bridge of his nose. Behind the lenses, his auburn eyes gleamed with a curious mix of fascination and intellectual fervor.
