"Okay, we'll meet again tomorrow again after school. I'll send the message to him to come and we'll truly decide if he's the best fit. Meeting finished."
Everybody soon dispersed from the meeting room, with Marlene, Silas, and Calix meeting just out the door. They decided on a place to eat and had a nice relaxing dinner before heading back to their dorms.
Silas returned to his dorm, the worn bronze door creaking softly as he pushed it open. The room was dimly lit by a small desk lamp, casting a warm glow over the space. The air was tinged with the scent of aged books and the faintest hint of candle wax.
Sitting down at his desk, Silas set up his makeshift camp of scattered papers, notebooks, and the essential tools of a diligent student. The desk lamp cast a focused beam of light onto the worn pages of the journal that had become a nightly companion.
