"You've improved, coward," Marlene muttered, as she witnessed her foot get caught by Lilith's hand. Her fingers wrapped around the nose of her shoe and sunk into the damp fabric moistened by sweat.
The audible sound of her teeth grinding together echoed into Marlene's ears. The blood trickling from her mouth and nose dripped onto the dusty ground, moistening it with her own fluids.
"Urgh…" Lilith grunted, grabbing Marlene's foot as hard as possible and then tossing her back. Of course, Marlene had anticipated this and effortlessly backflipped onto her feet, but this gave Lilith just enough time to rise to her feet.

The sound of footsteps sprinting from behind her got louder and louder, but without even looking, Lilith swung her right hand down, conjuring a large curved barrier of steam. As the sound was just close enough, she swung her right hand up, sending Grayson flying upwards and then connecting with Marlene's body.
