Lilith's POV
I glared at my reflection in the mirror, taking in my general look and noting how vulnerable I really Was.
No wonder Tyler and Roxanne saw me as gullible, gullible enough that they decided to use me. But now I was different, it was different.
I was no longer that puppet they tagged along everywhere like a third wheel, while I used to think that Roxanne was the third wheel.
I had been awake since midnight, thinking about a lot of things, especially about things I had to do now that I have been reborn. Even if I had been sleeping, the footsteps moving walking towards my door would have startled me.
The bright red lipstick on my hand moved smoothly on my thin lips as I prepared for unseen events.
The door clicked open and my eyes moved quickly from the mirror to the person standing in front of my door with a look of confusion on his face.
"Your father wants to meet with you. He is waiting in the throne room right now," the servant announced and I tapped my fingers against the table in front of me.
I titled my head, examined him from his head to his toes and asked, " did he say why he sent for me?"
"That I don't know, but it's something relating to a meeting he wants you to accompany him to," he bowed slightly and wanted to turn to leave when I stopped him.
"Tell him I would come to see him later," I ordered him and he looked at me as if his eyes wanted to fall out from its socket.
"But…your father…," he stuttered, trying to make me see reasons with him. I raised my left hand and hushed him.
"No, buts. I will see him later. There's a place I need to be at," I raised my voice at him and he put up his hand, surrendering to my command.
The servant nodded and left to deliver my message. My eyes looked at him in pity as he walked away, dragging his feet on the floor.
I knew what my father wanted to tell me. This event had happened in my previous life and nothing could catch me unaware now.
It was also on this day that he had met with an accident. The accident that took his life and that of Derek but I would make sure that it doesn't repeat itself in this new life.
I would delay that meeting regardless of what anyone tries to say or do.
I wasn't sure if stopping it was going to alter the entire plan but I didn't care, couldn't care.
My phone suddenly rang and I jolted in surprise. As I was about to pick up the call, the door of my room flung open and I raised my eyes from my phone.
My father stood in front of my door looking so pissed that his anger radiated off him in waves. He looked at me with those green eyes that I got from him. Those dangerous eyes.
"Why would you ignore my order, Child?" he growled and a rush of fear crawled through my body.
"I need to be somewhere father, and I'll be back before you know it." I said bluntly. I need to protect you!
My phone lit up again and I saw a message from Roxanne.. She had already given me about five missed calls in a short period of time.
"Let's meet at the park. I have someone you should meet. -Roxanne."
I got up from where I was, kissed my father on both cheeks, grabbed my bag and checked my dress, making sure I didn't look anything short of pretty.
I heard him grumble under his breath about something relating to me but I ignored it and instead refocused my attention to the beeping phone in my hands while I strode out of the room.
This was exactly how Roxanne made me meet Tyler two years ago, or sorry on this day but the last time I lived it.
At first, my body froze; I hesitated for a while as I didn't want any mistake to repeat itself but I quickly shook it off by deciding to go with the flow just so that I do not mess things up this time.

Tyler was beaming with all smiles when I arrived at the park. His smile had been what had drawn me to him in the first place, but right now it irked me to no end.
Roxanne was sitting opposite him and she urged me to sit beside Tyler, which I did like the puppet I used to be.
"Emm…what is this for? Who is he?" I asked, trying to avoid any eye contact with Tyler.
"My cousin. Feel free. I will go get some drinks for all of us," Roxanne disclosed and walked off. Cousin… who got you pregnant.
"He kinda looks like Oriana, your daughter." I said sweetly and noticed how they both froze for a millisecond.
"That's because he's my cousin!" Roxanne snapped, but then finished with a small giggle.
"Wow, y'all family bonds must be so strong." I muttered under my breath but I knew that they heard me.
Tyler shifted his gaze from Roxanne to me, he looked quite uneasy and I couldn't stop clinging onto my bag as I was beginning to feel uneasy myself.
I watched Roxanne walk off quickly, looking as though she was being pursued and I smiled to myself because I knew that my words had gotten to her.
I also knew that she wasn't coming back because that was exactly how she had left me with Tyler the first time I lived this scene.
"Roxanne told me everything about you. I must say, her words didn't do justice to how beautiful you are in person," he whispered sweetly.
The old me would've fallen for his sweet words but I was different now, and proudly unmoved by him.
I visibly cringed at his choice of words because it was the exact same thing he had said all those years ago; the same words that my young mind had found delicious, but now I knew better.
"Thank you." I said dryly, not wanting to drag this conversation any further.
He moved his finger and ran them over the skin of my chin. I flinched at his action and I felt a clutch of panic in the pit of my stomach.
I didn't bother looking out for Roxanne. I already knew she won't be back. She had left me under the care of a monster that would devour me. It was their plan, to make me fall helplessly in love.
"Can you please keep your fingers to yourself?" I gritted at him, but instead of keeping his distance, he gave me a captivating smile.
"You know what? I would love to give you a call. I'd like to get to know you better." he winked at me. Two years ago my heart had melted at this gesture, but now I only felt tense and numb.
"Sure, why not?" I shrugged and was about to hand my phone to him with my phone number displayed when a sudden strong scent assaulted my nostrils.
It was so intoxicating that it almost had me springing out of my chair; even my wolf was suddenly restless and prancing around in my head.
My nose sniffed from one place to another, trying to find where that sweet smelling scent was coming from, but I just couldn't find it.
"Mate!" Ariel howled, jumping with so much excitement and I sprung to my feet.
"Are you okay? You look confused," Tyler pointed out but I couldn't answer. There was something else that bugged me more than his Shenanigans.
"Mate! Mate!" Ariel continued yelling and I quickly rose to my feet to go find the mate whom the moon goddess had decided to give me this time.
