Meri was on her room as she was still going through note books he brought from the fathers box and saw some names which his father wrote down on the note book and she wondered what the names were for. The first name was "John Smith", and there was a phone number written next to it. Meri wondered if this was a friend of her father's, or someone else. The next name was "Jane Doe", and there was an address next to it. This made Meri even more curious – who was Jane Doe, and why did her father have her address? She continued flipping through the notebook, finding more and more names and numbers, each one more mysterious than the last. And as she was flipping through the book, she heard the sound of customized Benz approaching their house and she had a close look at the plate number and it had the eagle insignia on it just the same as she saw on the her father's badge. Her heart began to race as she realized what this meant – these were not just any visitors, they were from the American Secret Agency. A sense of dread washed over her, and she quickly closed the notebook and slipped it under her pillow. She could hear the front door opening, and footsteps in the hallway. Then, a knock on her door. "Can I come in?" her mother's voice asked. Meri swallowed hard, trying to keep her voice from shaking. "Yes, Mom," she said." The visitors are here already would you like to come see them?" She asked. " fine mom I will join you guys later let me round up my assignments" she replied. The mom left and join the visitors in the dining there were five of them and as they ate, one of them called "John Smith" brought up a topic about a note book and a flash drive "there is a missing flash drive and a note book which has really pushed the association four years backwards and we believe that finding it would really make things better and return the association to normalcy and as Meri was on her way to join them she stopped as she heard about it.
Meri's heart pounded in her chest as she heard them talking about the missing items. She realized that they must be talking about the notebook and flash drive that she had found in her father's box. She felt a surge of guilt and fear, knowing that she had the items they were looking for. Should she tell them? Or should she keep them hidden? She didn't know what to do. Suddenly, she heard a loud crash from the kitchen, followed by shouting and screams. She quickly went to her room and packed up everything and hid it on the roof and then came to join them. When she entered the kitchen, she saw a scene of chaos and confusion. One of the visitors, a tall, thin man, was clutching his hand to his chest, blood seeping through his fingers. Another visitor, a woman with a stern expression, was yelling at her mother. The other two visitors were trying to calm everyone down, but the tension in the room was palpable. "What's going on?" Meri asked, her voice quavering. "I can't let you search my husbands property just because you claim you're looking for some sort of god Dem Items" meri's mother shouted at them" Mrs. Williamson, we're not here to search your home," the stern woman said. "We just want to talk to your daughter, to see if she knows anything about these items." Meri felt her stomach twist into knots as all eyes turned to her. "I...I don't know anything about any items," she stammered, her voice shaking. "I've never seen anything like that before." "Are you sure about that? You know we can really do this the easy way or do you want it the hard way?" She asks as she pulled off a kitchen knife from the rack smiling to Meri. Meri's heart dropped as she saw the knife in the woman's hand. "I'm telling the truth, I swear!" she said, her voice cracking. "I don't have anything like that, and I don't know anything about it!" The woman's eyes narrowed, and she took a step towards Meri. "I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you to come with us," she said. "We just want to talk, that's all." Meri was terrified, and she didn't know what to do. "Enough!" Mr. John Smith said " I'm really sorry for the ugly scene my men has caused here please pardon our manners, we didn't mean to pick up a fight with anyone… I guess we should get going and maybe come back with a search warrant the next time I think that would be a more civilized way of doing things." Mrs. Williamson was still bristling with anger, but she nodded her head in agreement. "Fine," she said. "But I want you to leave now, and never come back. Do you understand?" Mr. Smith nodded, and he and the other visitors began to file out of the kitchen. Meri was still trembling, but she was relieved that the situation had been defused. As the front door closed behind the visitors, her mother turned to her. "Are you okay, Meri?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle. "Yes mom" she replied "you have a cut on your hand mom let me stitch it up" she said as she wanted to move and get stitches " I'm fine, it's just a little cut don't border yourself I will be fine.. come help me clean up the mess please" Meri hesitated, but she could see the determination in her mother's eyes. "Alright," she said, sighing. They began to clean up the kitchen, putting the plates and glasses back on the shelves, and wiping up the spilled food and drink. As they worked, Meri's mother kept glancing at her, as if trying to read her mind. Finally, she broke the silence. "You know you can tell me anything, right?" she asked. "I'm always here for you, no matter what. "She looked at her mom and hesitated a little and nodes in agreement "yes mom" Her mother smiled, and reached out to hug her. Meri hugged her back, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. "I'm glad you're safe," her mother said. "Now, let's finish up in here so we can get some dinner, okay?" Meri nodded and went back to cleaning up the mess. After a few minutes, her mother said, "I think we're almost done. Why don't you go get cleaned up and I'll get dinner started?" Meri nodded and headed to the bathroom, feeling a sense of peace and gratitude for her mother's support.
