Each match that followed seemed to up the ante, with the Divas Championship being a highlight as April faced off against Rosa in their Santa-themed showdown. April and Rosa used the Christmas props in clever, unexpected ways that got the crowd laughing and cheering. April, ever the showman, knew just when to turn on the theatrics and when to buckle down and fight. By the end, she'd retained her title, standing victorious amidst a sea of festive debris with a huge grin on her face.
When the main event arrived, Sandro, Kofi, and several other wrestlers watched eagerly from backstage. The main event showcased three of FCW hard hitting and power playing Heavyweights, and there are even rumours that the title could change hands and end Sheamus's reigns.
Before the start of the main event, Samoa Joe comes out first followed by Jake Hager and the two almost come to blow but the referee managed to stop and separate the two of them, threatening that he would not start the match if they imploded right here.
The threat managed to calm the two of them down, and just right then Sheamus's music hit and to the chanting of the crowd, he came out with this title around his waist while his hand holding a kendo stick which was wrapped around and looked like a candy cane as he walked down the ramp and entered the ring.
With Sheamus now in the ring, his candy cane-wrapped kendo stick in hand, the atmosphere in the arena grew electric. The crowd roared as the referee held up the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship, showing it to Samoa Joe and Jake Hager before turning to the fans.
The gleaming title symbolized weeks of hard work, intense rivalries, and fierce competition, and tonight, one of these three men would walk away with it, either still the champion or coming out as a second time champion or a new champion.
As the bell rang, Hager and Joe immediately locked eyes, their animosity boiling over as they charged each other, trading vicious punches to the head while the crowd cheered on.
Sheamus, watching from the side, glanced at the crowd and playfully twirled the kendo stick. He shouted out, "Who wants to see me use this stick on either of these two fella?" The crowd's response was immediate and loudest for Hager.
Smirking, Sheamus didn't hesitate—he swung the kendo stick hard and cracked it across Hager's back. Hager staggered forward, crying out, just as Joe took advantage, seizing Hager and slamming him with a spinning uranage that shook the ring.
But Joe barely had time to relish his attack. Sheamus quickly struck him from behind with a powerful swing of the kendo stick to his back as well, throwing down the kendo stick, and then hoisted him into the air for a German suplex, showcasing his brute strength as he hurled Joe across the ring. Sheamus stood tall, basking in the crowd's energy and excitement.
The match quickly evolved into a brutal contest of strength and endurance, with each wrestler exchanging heavy blows, high-impact slams, and even a few surprising moments of impromptu teamwork.
Joe and Sheamus, recognizing that Hager's resilience was a common threat, briefly joined forces. At one point, they took turns driving Hager into the corner, Joe delivering brutal chops to Hager's chest while Sheamus followed with his signature ten forearm clubs across Hager's chest after putting him on the ropes, each slap of flesh against flesh echoing through the arena as the crowd chanted one to ten.
As the minutes passed, exhaustion began to set in, but neither competitor showed any sign of giving up. Sheamus, blood trickling from a cut on his forehead, glared defiantly at Joe, who, despite his labored breathing, looked equally determined. Each man knew what was at stake.
Toward the climax of the match, Sheamus finally managed to isolate Hager, sending him stumbling into the ropes. Taking advantage, Sheamus pulled Hager into his finisher, the Fiery Red Hand. Hager crashed to the mat, lying motionless outside the ring, seemingly out of the match.
With Hager out of the way, Sheamus turned his focus to Joe, but Joe, showing remarkable resilience, had managed to recover. Out of nowhere, Joe charged back into the ring and leveled Sheamus with a brutal running clothesline that sent the champion sprawling.
Without giving Sheamus a moment to breathe, Joe picked him up, dragging him toward the top turnbuckle. The crowd sensed what was coming and erupted in anticipation as Joe prepared to execute his signature, Muscle Buster.
With a fierce expression, Joe lifted Sheamus and slammed him down with the Muscle Buster, the impact shaking the entire ring. The crowd gasped, unsure if Sheamus could recover from such a devastating move.
Before Sheamus could attempt any recovery, Joe wasted no time turning his attention back to Hager, who was slowly trying to crawl back into the ring. Sensing his opportunity, Joe lunged at Hager, bringing him inside the ring and locking him into the Coquina Clutch.
Hager struggled, clawing at Joe's grip, but Joe held firm, tightening his hold. The crowd was on their feet, caught between cheering and gasping as Hager's face turned red, his strength slowly ebbing. Hager's hands flailed as he tried to escape, but Joe's grip only grew more unrelenting. The referee was watching closely, anticipating the end.
With one final gasp, Hager tapped out, his hand slapping the mat as the bell rang. The crowd exploded into cheers as Joe released his hold and stood up, breathing heavily, eyes blazing with triumph. The referee handed him the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship, and Joe lifted it high above his head, a look of satisfaction and victory on his face.
Backstage, Sandro, Kofi, and several other wrestlers were taken aback by Joe's victory. The rumors of a title change had seemed far-fetched, but now, witnessing Joe's win, it was clear that Steve, Dusty, and the creative team had made a bold choice.
Sandro felt a mixture of emotions—he was disappointed for his friend Sheamus, who had fought tirelessly to retain his title, but he also recognized the potential impact Joe's reign could have on FCW's visibility and popularity as he was much more known and had fame across America and even outside of America.
As the night wound down, the wrestlers congratulated each other, sharing stories and memories of the Christmas show's success. Sandro approached Sheamus, clapping him on the shoulder. "Hey, you fought hard out there, man. That was one of the best matches I've ever seen."
Sheamus, though disappointed, managed a small smile. "Thanks, fella. Joe earned it, I'll give him that. But I'll be back in that ring sooner than he thinks."
Sandro nodded, seeing the familiar fire in Sheamus's eyes. "I've got no doubt about that."
The show's success and Joe's victory were the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable Christmas edition, and Sandro couldn't help but feel pride in being part of such an iconic night that would definitely be remembered by the fans and passersby alike.
With Christmas behind them, Sandro and his friends headed to the cabin they'd rented to unwind and celebrate. They spent their days exploring the snowy woods, sharing stories around the fireplace, and laughing late into the night over games and holiday treats.
After spending a rejuvenating few days with his friends at the cabin, Sandro returned to his apartment, where he finally had a moment to unwind alone. He placed an order for fast food—burgers, fries, and a bucket of fried chicken—and settled in front of the television, anticipating a quiet evening.
As he waited for his food to arrive, Sandro mindlessly flipped through channels until he landed on a news program. To his surprise, the broadcast was centered around a significant tech event: Macworld, where Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs, was expected to make an announcement.
The anchor mentioned that Apple had initially intended to unveil their new device earlier in the year but had delayed it due to financial concerns. Now, with the holiday season drawing to a close, Jobs was ready to introduce something groundbreaking.
Seeing this news, he was surprised and didn't expect that several days before the New Year was the date that Steve Jobs chose to announce the iPhone but he felt that it was a genius move, because he was sure that iPhone 1 had been developed and even produced, so the announcement now not only introduce iPhone but also sell iPhone with a possible Christmas and New Year deal.
Just as Sandro's delivery arrived, the broadcast cut to live footage from the event. Sandro watched, engrossed, as Jobs took the stage, his usual charismatic energy filling the room.
Jobs spoke about the need to modernize communication, explaining how technology had changed the way people interacted but still hadn't reached its full potential. Jobs described a vision of a device that could handle calls, texts, photos, and even internet browsing all in one.
As he ate his food, Sandro watched the captivated audience respond to Jobs' words with murmurs of excitement. Jobs went on, building anticipation as he described a device that wasn't just a phone—it was a revolutionary combination of phone, music player, and mini-computer.
When the Apple staff wheeled out a covered desk onto the stage, Jobs began a countdown. Sandro leaned forward, barely noticing the fries slipping from his grasp as the cloth was pulled away, revealing the sleek new device. The iPhone 1. The room erupted into applause as the crowd saw the first-ever smartphone in all its glory.
Behind Jobs, a video presentation began, showcasing the iPhone's features. It demonstrated how easy it was to swipe, tap, and type on the touchscreen, and how effortlessly one could switch between calls, music, photos, and the internet.
Sandro felt a surge of excitement. He knew that with the birth of the iPhone was going to change everything and kickstart the world on the world filled with technology he knew during his last life.
With his past life memory, he recognized how impactful the iPhone would be across all fields, as the potential for instant access to news, event updates, and social media right from the palm of everyone's hand would introduce the modern digital marketing that he was very familiar with.
Many people could access everything immediately, especially Wrestling fans would no longer need to wait for updates—they could connect with their favorite wrestlers and events in real-time.
Finishing his meal, Sandro couldn't help but imagine the countless money that the iPhone might bring to his father and Nexum Core Enterprise. With those funds and the birth of the modern technology era, also gave birth to a portal of new opportunities and possibilities.
The more he thought about it, the more Sandro felt a sense of responsibility. The iPhone's release ushered the world into a new era of media and communication, and now as someone at the forefront of wrestling, entertainment, and business, he saw himself as a bridge between these worlds.
Later that night, still excited by the Macworld event, Sandro called his father to share his excitement. "Dad, did you see that iPhone announcement? Finally, our first big investment payoff would come after the big payoff from our stock strategy during the financial crisis."
Jack laughed, his voice warm with pride. "I was just watching it too. You're absolutely right. It is the biggest payoff and the iPhone is exactly the tool we need to launch Nexum Core's entertainment vision. Imagine the synergy between Marvel, UFC, FCW, and other industries with a platform like this."
Their conversation quickly turned to the possibilities ahead, with both of them bouncing ideas off each other. They discussed creating a Nexum Core app that would bring together Marvel storylines, UFC events, and FCW matches, offering many fans from all kinds of entertainment sectors a hub for everything they loved in one place. Sandro felt invigorated by the brainstorming session, realizing how much potential lay ahead.
