From that day onward, Oliver tried his best to get closer to Sigrid, and bit by bit, day by day, Oliver slowly broke through Sigrid's hard shell. Of course, Oliver faced many challenges, but in the end, he managed to change Sigrid. Grasping Oliver's hand, Sigrid turned her body to him and looked at his handsome face.
"He has saved me over and over again. I wonder what I would have become if he wasn't in that academy class with me," Sigrid thoughtfully asked herself. "What kind of person would I be?" Just thinking about it sent shivers up Sigrid's spine and made her once again understand how thankful she should be to Oliver.
At the same time, Oliver was also in contemplation of the past and present. Feeling Sigrid's playful emerald-like eyes on him, her body's warmth, and her soft small hand grasping his own forced Oliver to relax his mind and body. This let his thoughts wander and think freely, even in the situation they were in. In truth, right at this moment, Sigrid and Oliver were already like one individual; they shared everything, and they knew all there was to know about each other. The only slight difference one could tell about them was Sigrid's continued change - she was like a blooming rose that with time would bloom even more gracefully. Compared to his lovely wife, Oliver's character showed no signs of changing; it could be said that he was set in his ways. But of course, there were still things inside of them, things that neither of them yet understood fully, things that, in the end, would change who they are and impact even the future of their continent.
At this moment, Sigrid gathered her resolve, cutely put her face in front of Oliver, who was still deep in his thoughts, and in a playful tone asked Oliver, "So? How did it go?" and then cutely pouted. "This quietness is getting on my nerves, Oli."
Sigrid's melodious voice immediately brought Oliver back to the present. He caught her gaze and calmly said, "Honestly, way better than expected." Sigrid's mouth made a '0' form, and she almost shouted in surprise. "WHAT? My Oli and that bastard spoke together and it went well? Am I dreaming? Please pinch me and wake me up." Sigrid added while starting to laugh. This joyful laughter of Sigrid filled the tent. "I'm sorry, Oli. I was expecting you two to fight and come back with no plan, and here you come and tell me it went fine???"
Oliver, still with no expression on his face, answered, "Well, he and I are both adults now. So, of course, it went well." This answer, coupled with Oliver's straight face, made Sigrid hold her belly and laugh even louder. "You and Jerome? Adults? Sure, when you are not doing something together," Sigrid told him in between bursts of laughter. Oliver, acting like he got angry, shot back. "And look who's talking, a woman in her twenties who sometimes acts like a spoiled little brat." Both of them smiled at each other, and now even Oliver began to laugh.
After a while, both of them calmed down, and Oliver continued, "We both believe that this was a trap set up by somebody from the Hughes family. You know in what regard they hold Jerome's family." Oliver stayed quiet for a moment and then added, "We have decided to team up and figure out who's behind this." Sigrid felt like she had been struck by lightning, and in a shocked voice, she blurted, "You and him working together? WHAT THE!!!??"
