Chapter 37 - curiosity

After leaving Draco's spell Tower, Char goes to find the cart containing the body of the Winged Demon, which he must bring back to the Chapel. He thought the soldiers would leave the cart outside the castle, but now he found it in the courtyard.

When he saw the cart, his scalp tingled because of the crowd of people watching and pointing. The ladies in waiting and the noble ladies talked with curiosity about the huge figure under the white cloth of the wagon, and wondered what would be the scene below. Rocher's soldiers did not dare to intervene, but stood far away, and when they saw Shire, they waved to him and told him to come quickly.

"Take care of it, they really want to see it." They ask for help.

"You brought it straight to the castle."

"We follow Lord Rocher wherever he goes."

Shire walked across the castle grounds, strode across and waved his hand.

"Hey, out of the way, out of the way, don't get too close!"

"Let them see! Let them see enough so they can become part of us." Graddius has a passion, and it doesn't affect the outside world now, it can only keep talking.

'Oh dear!

"Who are you?"

'Someone's coming!

They looked at Shire in surprise, and their attention shifted from the cart to Shire.

The lowly maids wore uniform black dresses and white dusts, their hair neatly curled up, their faces plain and curious. The more senior women, dressed in long dresses of various colors and simple jewelry, stood demurely at a distance from the people, ignoring the demon corpses on the carts. Among them, there were also several noble ladies, who wore splendid dresses, wore jewelry pins on their heads, and wore expensive necklaces around their necks. They gathered together, wearing white silk gloves, and looked at the Shire with great interest.

"Hello, who are you?" "Said one of them, a young noblewoman in a blue dress, in a high, high-pitched voice that hurt Char's ears a little.

"I am Shire the Demon Hunter."

"Demon Hunter! They were surprised.

"It's the demon hunter..."

"Wow, so this car is really loaded with demons?" Another girl in a red dress shouted that she was the youngest.

"I don't think it's possible unless we uncover it." A tall girl spoke disdainfully and covered her mouth with a folding fan.

"It's too dangerous. It must be taken back to the Hunter's Sanctuary." Shire climbed to the driver's seat in front of the cart, but he could not drive, only to occupy the vantage point first, lest these curious girls see the true face of the devil.

"What's the danger?" The noblewoman in the red dress put her hands on her hips, "Anyway, you will protect us, you are a hunter, you must know how to deal with demons."

"No." Shire shook his head, "Very dangerous, will have nightmares at night."

"How come!

"We're too brave to have nightmares."

"You think we girls are less daring than men? Nonsense!" Their voices grew louder and louder, and Shire had to give in.

Char thought it over.

"Listen," he said. He stood up and pressed his hand down in the air in a quiet gesture. "You must have heard the tales of the evil spirits that have been coming lately."

"Yes," he said.

"That's right."

"It's dangerous."

"So." Shire continued, "After our unremitting efforts, the winged demon was finally defeated by us, and this car contains the demon's body." But the devil is an evil creature that feeds on the soul, and affects all of our minds by interfering with our..."

"Who knows what you say?"

'It is!

They grew resentful.

"Just let us have a look, and then we'll go." The young girl in the red dress asked.

"I am Charles, and you are?"

"I'm Gina from the Grey Tree Hall." She had a broad smile and a polite tone.

Char feels like he's heard that name before.

"She is the Count's daughter, and you must listen to her." "Yelled the girls next to Gina.

That bald guy with the beard has such a cute daughter? Shire rubbed his eyes, Gina was born a fiery red hair, eyes green, thin eyebrows, nose long and narrow and high, because the age is still young, the face has not grown, completely like a child, with a green outline.

"Anyway." Shire tried to make both sides compromise, "It is difficult to show you the true face of the devil, but it is not impossible to show you a small part."

He walked over to the cart and slowly rolled up a corner of the white linen to reveal half of the winged demon's wing.

'What?

"Look! Look at that!"

The girls' curiosity to the peak finally had a vent, they frantically came together, squeezed to the Shire side, curious to observe the wings of the winged devil, and the courage is particularly big, dare to reach out to touch.

"No, no, no, no." Shire stretched out his arm to stop them. "It's dangerous! Very dangerous!"

But they kept reaching out, their delicate hands and Shire's arms kept bumping, and their bodies kept pushing towards Shire. Shire is now very hard, while trying to block them, so that they do not touch the remains of the devil, and at the same time to maintain the mind, because a smell of different flavors from the women's body, mixed into a particularly confusing taste, the Shire dizzy, which is more than fighting a living demon suffering.

"Nonsense." "You have not seen the truly powerful demons," said Graddius. "They stand tall and have weapons strong enough to split mountains."

"I hope so." Char responded helplessly in his heart, "If you are entangled by a large group of female demons, you will have my experience now."

"Indeed." Graddius rarely agreed. "The female devil is very terrible."

Wait, there really is a female demon? Demons have genders? What happened to demons not having a gender? Shire was confused.

"No." Graddiu reads Char's subconscious, "I mean 'female' demons, just as I am 'blade' demons." The 'female' demon is the demon that represents the concept of 'female'."

Char's efforts have their limits, and a chubby maid desperately reaches out her hand, pushes Char onto the buggy, and then grabs the wings of the winged demon, Shouting, "I touched it! I touched it!"

'Ah!

"What was it like?"

"It's icy, very icy! Like freeze-dried chicken wings!" The fat maid tried to describe.

They continued to fool about in the courtyard until a fierce cry came from the balcony: "What are you doing? "

Shire heard Lord Rene's voice, feeling very mixed, both relieved and worried. The women scattered and duly stepped aside, leaving Char alone on the wagon with the body of the winged demon.

"It's you again." Rene looked down at Charles sternly. "What have you done?"

"I'm going back." Shire shouted. "I didn't do anything."

"Get up here!" Rene shouted in a rougher voice. "I want to ask you something! It's not proper to huddle like that with the ladies of the castle!"

"Something's wrong." Shire has to find a way to explain that his relationship with Count Rene is already stiff enough, and the quarrel is afraid to become an enemy, and the poor relationship with the local Lord, is a disaster for the reconstruction of the Hunter's church, "I wanted to bring the devil's body back to the church."

"Demonic! Dead bodies!" Rene's voice was almost hoarse. "God damn it, do you dare bring that thing into the castle? You're crazy! Draco! Where's Draco!"

"Don't worry, I'm leaving." Shire responded.

"You want to just walk away?" Rene gritted his teeth. "Impossible! Guards! Guards!"

As the clanging of weapons and armor approached, the Shire saw the heavily armed guards pouring out from all parts of the castle. Was it possible that the castle could hold so many soldiers? They were fierce, cold in the eyes, and well armed, and even if the Shire tried his best, he would be taken down at most a few men.

"You can't even kill a few people." Graddiu disdained. "The tower is full of snipers, ready to shoot you."

Shire looked up at the height of the castle walls, high towers, crossbow sergeantes have been ready to shoot, this courtyard is a natural shooting range, Shire will be shot into a hedgehog at any time.

We can't use the flowing shadows to escape, because that would be too embarrassing, and I don't know how much trouble it could cause if the demon remains in the castle.

"Wait a minute." Gina ran to the wagon and looked up at the balcony. "Dad!"

"Oh, my sweetheart." Rene's cold expression melted into a kind smile. "You're here, too."

"Not so fast." 'Gina shouted.' Don't lose your temper! '

"I won't lose my temper." Rene was in a happy mood. He pressed his hands against the railing, almost crushing it. "Don't you tell me, I'm in a good mood today, my little baby."

"We're the ones clamoring to see what's on the car." "It's none of Mr Shire's business," Gina explained.

"So I see." Rene nodded. "Now I understand everything. Relax, everyone." One by one, the guards put away their weapons and stopped, and the archers lowered their clasped hands.

Shire looked up to see Rene, Rene's eyes change quickly, look at Gina gentle water, see the shire when he felt hairy, as if he wanted to tear the shire into pieces.

"I'm sorry for all the commotion." Shire beckoned some of Rocher's soldiers to come and drive, "And I apologize for all your troubles. But at any rate, we must return to the Hunter's Chapel."

"Yes." Rene's eyes burst with fire. "I want you to go back to your beautiful sanctuary as soon as possible. The sooner, the better. Do you understand?"

"Good luck." Shire shrugged.

The soldiers quickly stirred their horses, and the cart slowly drove out with the heavy body of the devil. Shire long sigh, after so many twists and turns, finally able to return to the hunter sanctuary.

He looked down to ponder what he would do when he got back, and suddenly burst into a wave of screaming, rage, and nervous yelling, especially Rene's gut-wrenching howl, and he turned to find that Gina had climbed up from behind the scooter at some point.

"Let's get going." "I want to see the Devil Hunter's Chapel."
