Chapter 2 - A Sleepy Town Thats In Trouble!

I stood up and dust off the dirt that clinged to my butt and legs. It was then I noticed the depth perception of being way taller and the flexible strength of my lean body. I touched my face and moved my hair. Luckily it was long enough for me to see my hair. Long straight silky ashend white hair. The wind picked up blowing against me causing my hair to catch and fly back, only after the breeze calmed did a short strand fall from my right side bangs.

A system eh?... well lets see whats its all about then. Hehehe.... wait how can i bring it up?

I spent the next few moments with weird hand jesters, the classic swipe down, a snap, good ol' light on and light off clap. Nothing worked even trying to say "status" or even "open". After a bit I felt like a idiot for a time. I moved my left hand to brace my right elbow as i placed my index finger on my right temple in annoyance.

"Oh shi-. Wait... are you serious?" I yelp followed by a grumble of disappointment.

The screen appeared right after touching my temple. Before reading it I tapped my temples once again. To my bewilderment it disappeared. I did so a couple more times before finally opening it to look at what was a status page.

"Near Immortality. Well isn't that just special.... hah... I mean look at this abilities though... I'm not that strong right?"

"...Summon Earth Revolver!" I spoke with curiosity

A Brown revolver formed in my right hand that I held out. Causing me to short lived flinch. It had a wild western design with earthen cracks on its outside. I pointed it at the ground and pulled the level back with my thumb and pulled the trigger.

Zzztttt... BOOM!

After a split second charge a clap like thunder rang. I pulled my left hand to my face to block what little specs of dirt flew at my face. After the dirt stopped flying I looked down to notice a foot and a half small crater about 5 feet from where I stood. I dropped the revolver noticing it disintegrated as it fell. Gone before it got past my knee level.

"Haha... hahaha.... BWAHAHAHAHAHA" I laughed in awe at what just happened.

After collecting myself together I decided to see what was the town. I took off in a sprint cracking the ground as i launched. Becoming a blur.

-----------------------

About 10 minutes ago at the city gates of Lua Kuu

Two town guards stood at the gates about half an hour before their switch to have the time off before night duty.

"Hey Tom, wanna get a drink together after shift break?"

"I don't know Bill, the miss wasn't to happy last time. Maybe ano-"

BOOM!

Tom and Bill jumped in place drawing their swords own look around quickly scanning for the thunder clap in the distance. Bracing for what even that deafening sound was. Shortly a hysterical laugh in the distant drawn near their ears. They notice a silhouette in the distance. Unable to see who it was Tom turns to Bill who is eyeing it warily.

"Hey... Bill, Um, go get the captain. My gut tells me this can't be good."

Bill turns to Tom, sheaths his sword, nods and sprints to the door behind the raised gate to find his captain.

When Tom looks back it was quite and the figure was gone. Then a rushing breeze smacks against his body as he raises his arms to block his eyes.

"Hey, hows it going?" A sweet masculine voice calls out.

-----------------------

"Hey, hows it going?" I call out in a friendly voice with a calm wave of my right hand.

The man in front of me with light metal armor jumps brandishing his sword at me looking at me with steeled wary eyes making me raise my hands in a surrendered jester taking a step back.

"H-h-halt! Stay right there, d-don't move! Please identify y-yourself." The man spoke nervously.

"Hey, hey, hey now. I didn't mean to scare you there. To be honest i didn't even know I was that fast. I come in peace. Please lower your weapon and I'll do as you ask." I did my best to speak soothingly. That was really, really unexpected.

The guard hesitated for a moment. Still with his sword out he ask. "W-was that you out there by the old mans willow oak?"

"O-oh, the weirdly lone tree out there.... uuhhh yeah, that would be me? Hahaha..." I spoke cautiously while scratching my chin nervously.

The mans jaw drops as he sheaths his sword. Soon two more men coming running out from the gate. They stop in their tracks looking at me with confusion. One is wearing armor the same as the gaurd in front of me. The other looks the same but with a crest at his right should as a cresent moon peirced by a sword downward with a 5 o'clock shadow. The normal looking gaurd infront of me looks at them as he notices me look behind him.

The other normal looking guards speaks. "Um.. Tom... where did he come from?" He proceeded to point at me as he looks at the guard infront of me.

"Bill... thats the guy we heared that thunder clap from.... one second he was out there... the next he was in front of me...."

The three of them stare at me perplexed. Bill and the other guy just blinked multiple times. Tom just look back and forth multiple times.

"Well this is really, really awkward..." I thought as I look on with a nervous small smile

Then a whisle blew loudly from within the town. "Bandits inbound at the north gate! I repeat Bandits to the north!" A man yelled from inside the town. Then Tom, Bill and the other guy looked past me.

The other guy spoke quickly to me in a strong tone. "Look we can talk about this later, okay? For now get inside so we can closed the gate!."

Ding! A chime rang in my head followed by a monotone voice.

'New quest given: please choose how to deal with 20 bandits in you own way. Rewards- +20 Karmic points +50 Karmic value. Failure- Death of the Lua Kuu town and -250 Karmic value.'

I lowers my hands finally and frowned with and quite grunt. "Haaaah~ Tell everybody to call down in there. I'll be back in a jiffy. Won't be long."

"Huh? Wha-"

"H-hey wai-"

"What do yo-"

WHOOOSH~~

I used Fleeting Feet before they could properly react. I allowed mana to flow in both hands. Portraying the mental image of a fire wall of flaming tornados before conjuring a flaming ball and a windy orb in separate hands and making them fuse together. Just as I arrived infront of the bandits I casted the spell. A massive wall of flaming tornados about 20 feet wide and 30 feet high stopped the men on their horses with the sounds of some being bucked off by the beast of burden.

The wall dissipated after a bit showing the men off and on their horses. What look to be the leader wanted to speak but I spoke before he could.

"Do you guys know how annoy you all are? Heh~ I think yall need a bluebull!" SNAAP!

I snapped my thumb and index finger using my mana to take will over the air sending 80mph winds safely around me with a major up draft force. Both man and beast of burden took flight. Landing miles in to the forest. I winced thinking that might have been over kill. I returned using Fleeting Feet back to infront of the puzzled 3 men. As i returned I heard the chime of a quest complete and a few of my skills leveling up. They seemed to be incredibly pale.

They stared at me, dumbfounded. "Now, where was we good gentlemen?" I said with a proud smile and hands on my hips since i arrived.
