Chapter 39
Xenon couldn't believe his ears at the moment as he took his body to the hospital.
His whole body was on fire which wasn't a good thing as his guts told him that something was so wrong. He was almost forced to go back to the mansion to throw his Aunty and her children away but right now needs to be sure that Alfredo is okay and that nothing has happened to him.
"Damn! I won't take it, please. Nothing should happen to him." He kept muttering under his breath as he entered through the glass sliding doors of the white exquisite hospital and almost walked past the reception blindly when a loud voice made him half at the spot.
"And where do you think you're going huh? Why won't you learn, this boy? Weren't you the one that caused a nuisance that other time I saw you?"
Xenon remembered this nurse so well that he didn't have time for her rantings, he just wanted to check on Alfredo's health to be sure he was okay.
"I have a patient in there, can I go and check on him? I got a call to come over to sign."
He told her and she snorted at his words and rolled her eyes as If he was spewing nonsense.
"You don't have the hospital card, you don't have any penny to fill out the form and today is the second day in your life that you will step foot here. How on earth did they even reach out to a pale thing like you, weren't you the one that almost caused the President's death too?" She asked him. all those questions as if she had been rehearsing it in her head before he came or she had been expecting him so that she could say all these things which seemed to rile Xenon up.
He was losing patience and pacing terribly and one more nasty word from this rude nurse might not end so well.
"Where's the hospital card and all the necessities to pay? I don't have time, I don't fucking have it as someone might end up dying on me, I need to see and talk to him." He expressed himself desperately and she clicked her tongue and chuckled, obviously enjoying the show Xenon was creating.
She took him so unseriously and acted so sluggish as if she was displaying this act of incompetence toward the other
Xenon saw that she was going to stand here for a long time and display her silly attitude, so he dropped his phone on the counter.
"That's my phone, keep it as collateral till you're ready to talk about payment". He slayed out and walked away and she glared.
"You this!...where do you think you're going to? You have no right, come back here! Securities!!!" She yelled for them to go after Xenon who didn't give a damn that moment.
He didn't know what ward they put him in which seemed to make him more frustrated but he kept walking and headed toward the direction of Felicity's office, peradventure she told him where he was kept
On reaching her office, the door was locked and a hissing sigh escaped his lips as he went back to the ward passage and checked the room one after the other till he
finally got to Alfredo's ward.
He gasped and stood frozen on the floor, a loud crack echoed in the room and the doctors all turned to stare at Xenon who just broke the door knob without even realizing it. He was boiling in Fury and hot anger and the eagerness to know the person behind such an accident was so overpowering.
"Please may we know why you're here, this is a patient room."
"I'm here to see him," Xenon said without looking at the doctor as his gaze work was fixed on Alfredo whose body was wrapped in a bandage and he was lying unconscious.
"Oh , come in then."
"What happened to him please?" He asked the man who removed his stethoscope and faced him.
"He was a victim of a fire outbreak and his body is severely damaged to cause him death but he's surprisingly alive.
I got orders from Ma'am Felicity to personally take care of him and so far with the treatment, I think he's going to make it." The doctor Xenon released a shaky breath and nodded.
"How bad is his skin and how long will it take for him to remain in this state?"
"Like I said initially, it was very bad to cause him to die, and whatever it is that's happening now is beyond medical terms. I'll call it a miracle and he should be up and fully okay in a month."
Xenon bit his lips, his fingers curled into a fist as he stared at the mute body on the bed who had been nothing but a source of great hold and guidance to his life.
"Please do all you can to ensure he's okay." He
"I'll do everything Ma'am Felicity says, you don't need to tell me that. He's the grandson of Glacier so everything is under control" He told him politely but Xenon saw that as an insult.
He had forgotten his status and the way they treated him like trash but he didn't say a word but nodded.
It was a phase he was used to right now and he was far from being angry about it. All he knows is that the world is a place with a dirty mentality about how they judge and treat people.
He wanted to call Mr Vlad but kicked against it. If Mr Vlad had been in trouble or in that fire, the whole hospital would have gone into a frenzy and pushed any other patients out of the way.
It simply means he wasn't at the restaurant when that happened, if Alfredo had not gone to the restaurant then he could have been a Victim, he would have been the one in the fire accident instead and not Alfredon which means that it was set up.
"But who could have set him up? There's no way Vlad would want to burn down a new Restaurant he just purchased to kill me. It doesn't even make sense." He laughed out and shook his head and arrived at a conclusion.
Abigail and her cohorts will know something about this and God help him because he wasn't going to take things easy this time around with them no matter what.
