Unbeatable Chef Xenon
Chapter 12.
Curiosity ate Xenon up the moment they arrived at a huge mansion. People troop in and out of it and the light that sparkles gives it a fantasy glow.
Alfredo held Xenon's hands and walked towards the gate when he was stopped by one of the men securing the mansion.
"You can go." One of them pointed at Alfredo.
"You will not enter, this is not a garbage party!" The other spat out at Xenon who gulped.
"He came with me please, and no! He's not garbage." Alfredo pleaded but they would hear none of his excuses.
"If you're not ready to enter you can kindly step aside and leave the way for the others!" They retorted harshly and Xenon sighed, he knew it was a stupid idea to come here in his casual wear.
"Don't worry, you can go! I'll wait for you outside." He whispered to Alfredo who gasped in disbelief.
"That's not the plan Xenon, you better hypnotize this men to get past this gate before they shut it down." Alfredo seethed and Xenon forgot about the ring!
He didn't even know the power he had within him and kept looking down on himself as if he was useless.
"Please let me enter freely and you won't have to be forced." Xenon said boldy, his tone now changed and the two men laughed out at his sudden countenance coming over to push him out.
"Open the gate! Now!" He ordered, staring into their eyes and a tiny smoke swirled around them, Xenon's eyes blazed green that it reflected on their irises and immediately, they both froze, turned to their backs, and opened the gate.
"That wasn't that hard." Alfredo chuckled as they walked inside the mansion and he shrugged.
"I forgot about that, I had used it on a lady to conduct surgery for me out of desperation and I was so surprised." Xenon told Alfredo who nodded at him.
"Aside from being the Grandmaster of spices, you can also perform special abilities like this but abilities like this come with prices as that is not your main focus of powers. The power tends to control you and not you controlling them."
He explained to Xenon who frowned deeply.
"Why can't I control the power? I had realized that I had done things without my will and was preparing a meal out of nowhere."
"Well, that happened because of your strong desire to save someone or something. Your powers lie in spices, smoke, food, and any delicacy. That's why I brought you here to experience and see things for yourself so you won't lose control in the real world. You can't control the power, no one has done so before except with years of practice and mastery. You could start cooking on your own without knowing, you could have the urge to save someone from afar, you can even teleport to get Ingredients."
Alfredo explained to him and they walked me to a huge bright hall with different personalities drinking, chatting, and gisting. They all sneered at Xenon and cast him a disdainful glare.
"Now the side effects of using powers are fully controlled; it's not that bad but it can be so disgraceful if you're not careful.
You can get high in hormones and become the horniest person ever. And whether you chose who to fuck or not, women would be automatically attracted to you. You will have the urge to spend unnecessarily, drink unnecessarily, and do other strange things that might come as a huge surprise to you. So don't panic. It's only the effect of the powers." He told Xenon whose eyes widened to the extent his balls almost dropped.
He wanted to say another word when his name was called out as if he had done something wrong.
"Xenon!!" Natalie cried in his presence feeling ashamed.
"I told you, we are done already. Why are you following me? This is stalking and it's an offense!" She yelled so loudly that it caught the attention of the people who now turned to look at Xenon with a sneer.
"I wasn't following you!" He shrieked in surprise, totally shocked to see her here. The person hosting the party might be so Influential and social for Enzo and Natalie to be here.
"Now I can't tolerate this embarrassment anymore! Why are you after my wife?" Enzo who heard his wife's cry walked over to meet him and the other members of the party started murmuring
"Call the police already! I wonder who let him in here."
"Eww! I can't believe this, he's so dirty! What is he doing here?"
Another threw another shameful statement at him and Xenon grits his teeth in fury.
"You need to stop this Natalie, I came here on my own. Why are you doing this to shame me, even after I've saved your life you're still trying to paint me to the mud! Why?" He yelled out and she gasped at his outburst. She didn't gasp because of his yell but because she was seeing it again. Those same eyes that had scared the hell out of her back at the mansion. It was having another glow again.
"My husband gave you a whopping million dollars to shut you up. You don't need to continue acting like a hero when you're nothing." She retorted back and the main party was about to begin.
"Securities!" She yelled but no one came at the moment as she pointed at him, and eyed him with so much disgust.
"You can see how miserable your life is but you're still trying to form what you're not. Did you check yourself in the mirror before coming over to a place like this? How the hell did you even pass the gate? Stay away from me Xenon, we are done!" She yelled in fury, grabbing her husband's hands and storming out of the sight
Alfredo sighed and shook his head painfully.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this special event." The orator of the party said and everyone else paid attention to him but Xenon was far from listening as his heart was already polluted.
"I need to leave." He uttered out coldly and Alfredo shook his head.
"We have come too far to leave, you need to–"
"I don't care!" He groaned.
"No matter the powers, I still feel useless and stupid and the only woman I've ever loved is treating me like trash despite going to lengths to save her."
He said and Aldero sighed tiredly, nodding his hair for him to do whatever he wished to do.
"We are here for a special celebration, so your gathering here is highly appreciated. Please give yourself a round of applause!" The orator said and he complied.
"So as we gather here today for the remembrance of the only spice master who taught us the art of culinary skills, who had lived so long for his existence, please join me and do me the honor of presenting his grandson. The youngest heir and last grandmaster to live in the city of Venice, we have him from all of you all these years because it wasn't yet the right time but right now, we present to you the heir to the throne of Viscaria and son of the late Grand Glacier Senei." He uttered and a round of applause followed immediately making Xenon gasped in shock.
"Isn't that my Grandfather's name?" He asked Alfredo who nodded at him."
"Yes, this party was thrown for you."
