Julia had dressed her up, painted her face with her own make up, since layla didn't have any and doesn't like it.
She had given her favorite dress to her, covering her in unique style. A black diamond design skirt, with unique silver stones, glimmering at the bottom of the middle-lenth skirt. She graced the skirt with a white long sleeve and a black silver stone low flat shoe. Her hair was let free, letting the hair to fall beautifully, almost touching her shoulder blade.
Her red lip glimmered in the light, attracting preys and predators.
A slight blush on her chubby fair cheeks.
She really looked beautiful and cute.
The fire in her eyes match her strength and determination.
Standing now at the door where she was humiliated at, she inhaled slowly and motivated herself.
"Layla, this is just like any other day. Don't remember the embarrassment",she muttered.
"Move out", a deep familiar voice resonated at her back, jotting her out of her thought. She literally jumped away as if there was a rat in her underwear.
Quickly looking back, her eyes met with a cold looking brown eyes.
"Sir..sir",she bowed many times, confused at what to begin with at the first day of work.
Skyler gave her a cold look, looking her up and down.
Something strange flickered past his eyes but it vanished quickly not allowing layla to catch it.
He looked away from the beautiful girl and walked in, his hefty men behind him.
But when he saw that she didn't move he turned around,. "Are you going to just stand there all day?",he coldly asked.
Layla got the message and bowed a few times, shy and embarrassed.
"No..no sir",she stuttered.
"Then follow me. We have many work today", he turned around and walked into the building.
Layla quietly followed him, staying behind the hefty men who was all dressed up in black, with a wireless earbuds at their ear.
They passed the receptionist area, gaining looks around as everyone stepped back for the powerful scary people to walk pass. Skyler and his men commanded power and authority, they stood above everyone, literally throwing people off their shoes.
But when they looked behind them, they saw a skittish little thing following them like a cat, the dangerous aura that they felt disappeared on seeing her.
Layla who followed behind had a small smile on her face wanting to make a good impression on her first day. Her smile warmed the people around up, they smiled back at her, loving the air around the girl.
The receptionist gave her huge wave, even though there was a huge surprise at her face. Probably wondering why the lady was back?.
Skyler walked with power, not giving anyone any look, paying no attention to them even though some looked at him with expectancy.
As he walked he couldn't help but wonder where his new assistant was?. She wasn't by his side and not even at the side of his men.
Entering the elevator, he saw her behind them, and a smirk was on his face when he saw the struggle on her face as she struggled to keep up with them.
Finally they entered the elevator, and the machine began to move upward slowly and gracefully.
By then Layla was finally by his side as they both stood in the machine.
She didn't look at him, nor was she close to him. He could clearly see the tension in her body, he saw the slight sweat at her hand even though the elevator and full building was covered with a cooling A.C.
"When we get to my office. You have a lot of papers to sign for me",he broke the silence in the elevator.
Getting her attention at last, she finally looked at him with a confused look at her face. He looked down at her, being this close to her he could see her small face more closely.
The glitters in her face shone brightly along with her glassy eyes and shiny smooth hair. His eyes trailed at her red small plump lips, which was a little bit open. He wondered how it would feel like against his.
His eyes widened at this thought. What was this? Why was he thinking about her lips?. He averted his gaze and opened his mouth to talk but she beat him at it.
"Why can't you sign your own papers?",her face which looked confused looked at his intently.
His perfectly shaped brow arched at her question and the lack of fear in her voice.
"What kind of question is that? Why are you my assistant then?",he asked back, redirecting her question back to her.
She pursed her lips thin, and swallowed whatever she wanted to say and just stared ahead hoping that the papers weren't going to stress her.
Finally the elevator opened and they where in another unfamiliar floor.
But this was more grandeur then the one she had seen.
She waited for skyler to step out first and when he did she waited for his men to do the same as well but he suddenly stopped and sharply turned around, sending a glare to her.
"What are you doing?",he asked.
"Waiting for you to move ahead",she replied with a little shrug.
If looks could kill, Layla would have already being dead. His glare shot straight at her sending cold shiver down her spine.
"From now on walk by my side. And know this. I.don't.repeat.myself",with that, layla slowly and shyly stepped out of the elevator and stood beside him averting his gaze.
He watched as the skittish little thing walked to his side, not looking back at him.
At least that was a little bit of respect for today.
When she was finally by herside, he began to walk, taking huge steps.
Layla had a hard difficult time keeping up with him, his powerful long legs made him walk a little bit of distance in less than three step. While she had to jog a little to get to him.
Soon they arrived at a huge door, with the name CEO written in it.
One of the hefty men quickly came for the door and pushed it open letting both Skyler and Layla to step in.
Out of no where, a loud pitch voice screamed out
"Skyler honey",
Looking at the owner of the voice, her eyes met with that of a blue eyed lady.
