This swamp seemed to have existed a long, long time ago.
The water flowing from upstream, or perhaps from a stone in the mountains, accumulated here, remaining stagnant as the quantity of water increased in this decaying place.
And so, it became as it appears now.
This might be hard to understand, but to explain it in detail, one needs to think from another perspective.
This is why the forest formed.
To many, this forest is just a regular, all too familiar forest.
It has rocks and steep mountainsides, and under the influence of magic, countless trees grow wildly here, without restraint.
Without anyone to tend to them, countless vines intertwined with each other above in the canopy, together with broad leaves, obscuring the sun in the sky.
This poses a problem: when people walk in this forest, they seldom see the sun when they look up.
Unless someone intentionally clears a space in the forest.
The vigorous trees, free of natural enemies, grow unrestrained here.
