In the final months of the year 1784, for the commoners living in the Wilderness, there was a particularly different significance. A demon star burst onto the scene, covetous of the Feitian Sect's gold, seizing dozens of golden statues. The Sect Head of Feitian, the Xiushi Emperor, led the Asura congregation to intercept, but this incited the demon's ferocity. Not only did he kill all members of Feitian, but he also stormed into the imperial palace, slaughtering the entire bloodline of the Xiushi Clan and piling their heads into an official mound.
The ferocious demon provoked the fury of the heavens, and the Dharma Protector God sent servants to vanquish the demon, only to have their golden bodies smashed. The demon seized the Asura Divine Heart, used hellfire to burn down both the Vedic temple and the royal palace, and a great fire blazed for ten days without end, leaving the Holy City shrouded in black smoke.
