Longzhou is within the territory of Martial Saint Mountain and does not permit the preaching of Zen, so there are only scattered temples and wandering monks. As a result, understanding of Tang Luo from Buddha's Country is far from comprehensive—limited to what can be inferred from ancient texts. To date, Tang Luo has only encountered Yankong from the Zen disciples. If one were to regard the Feitian Sect as a branch of the Buddhist community, accounting for Jiuta and the Xiushi Emperor, it would be impossible to have a favorable view of the Zen disciples.
However, Tang Luo was not the type to jump to conclusions based on limited information. He wouldn't ignore Jiuta's hypocrisy nor forget the ascetic monks in the snowy plains who were struggling themselves yet still determinedly helped their followers, nor would he forget the composed and kind-hearted devotees he saw, with tranquil hearts, when he first entered the city of Hedalaba.
