As Category 5 Lifeforms enter maturity, many of the original symbiotic conditions subtly change. For instance, now that Ada has life-bonded with Su Yu's mother, even if something unfortunate were to happen to Ada, causing it to fall into a deep slumber or die, its life-bonded partners would no longer face death or accelerated life drain.
If life-bonding with a Category 5 Lifeform during its growth phase meant having one's life and death not in one's control, reaching maturity with these creatures eases that bind. It seemed as though everything reset to the beginning, but there's no doubt that this released the life-bonded partners from great peril.
