Roar!
Roar!
The two dragon heads clashed without any fancy movements, and the Fighting Aura instantly exploded. Long Yi retreated three steps before he could barely stabilize himself. Looking forward, Luo Qi had unsurprisingly been blown away, lying on the ground, desperately trying to stand up, but his mind was dizzy and his body completely unresponsive.
"The first time you used it against me, it failed, and yet you wanted to try a second time? I may not be a Saint Fighter, but I know that the same move won't work on me twice," Long Yi sneered, though his words were cryptic to the listeners, the mockery was obvious.
The aftershocks of the Fighting Aura were still flowing in his hands, and Long Yi's hands were trembling slightly uncontrollably. This was the first time he had successfully performed a Fighting Aura technique, and his hands were still getting used to it. However, this novel experience exhilarated him.
Fighting Aura technique, so powerful!
Long Yi had decided to start training four days after he was born and had felt the dragon Fighting Aura within him by the tenth day. As a Giant, he was innately adept at training. Giants unlock seals of training knowledge as they age, and they can search for what they need in the knowledge of heritage, much like freely entering and exiting a library.
Regrettably, due to his young age still considered a minor among Giants, he couldn't learn the Giant's Fighting Aura techniques. Otherwise, this battle would have certainly been without suspense.
Reverse deducing the Fighting Aura technique was Long Yi's personal unique skill created by combining his current knowledge from the Giant race and his knowledge from previous lives.
Just as water boils at one hundred degrees Celsius under standard atmospheric pressure, the effects of all Fighting Aura techniques are achieved through a specific combination of Fighting Aura. Therefore, by observing the style of the Fighting Aura technique and making precise deductions, one can easily ascertain how to perform the Fighting Aura technique.
Of course, the reason Long Yi succeeded was largely because the Dragon Roar Fist is just the basics of the basics in Fighting Aura techniques; it's exceedingly simple.
Yet, even so, it was enough to frighten, or rather, infuriate, a group of people.
"Bastards!"
The surrounding five people felt insulted and wanted to make their move together.
"Enough! Everyone stop!"
The second-year instructor finally couldn't stand it any longer and intervened to stop this duel.
"First year Long Yi wins, add six points to his score. You seven people, each of you loses six points! The duel is over!"
A flash of light passed, and Long Yi joyfully observed his increasing score.
"What! Instructor, this is unfair, we haven't even fought yet, how can you declare we've lost!"
"That's right! Instructor! This guy just got lucky!"
"Shut up! You fools, from the morning you've been challenging continuously till now, and when someone confronts you, you haven't won a single fight, and still have the nerve to talk about fairness?"
Hearing their words, the second-year instructor's face couldn't help but feel a flush of embarrassment.
"Actually, I think it's quite fair," Long Yi spoke up. "You saw for yourself, these people are so weak they aren't even a match for me alone. I think you should let them all come at me together, or maybe you could call a few more to make it ten, I want to fight ten!"
Long Yi moved his arms a little, still feeling physically good, and his dragon Fighting Aura hadn't depleted much; he should be able to enjoy another good fight.
"Enough! I've made my judgment, you won, you can leave now! According to the Academy regulations, you cannot continue to challenge for three days. Now, leave the second-year training ground immediately!"
The second-year instructor looked at the first-year instructor's face and spoke word by word. At that moment, his heart was bleeding. Being a second-year instructor, he naturally felt superior to the first-year instructor and always looked down on the other. Yet this time, that fellow had somehow found this extraordinary freshman who could fight so well right after enrollment!
As the victor, Long Yi was quite poised. However, Arin's gaze on Long Yi changed because she noticed that, at first, Long Yi actually didn't know Dragon Roar Fist!
Arin, being a Dragon Knight of the Mithril Dragon, inherently lacked Fighting Aura in her body. For some unknown reason, she also couldn't use Magic, but she possessed a strange talent—she could easily discern someone's level of Fighting Aura or Magic and even sense if it was someone's first time using a Fighting Aura technique.
In Arin's eyes, Long Yi was indeed using a Fighting Aura technique for the first time!
You should know, Fighting Aura techniques begin as a major part of the curriculum in the Second Year and maybe accompany a Dragon Knight for a lifetime! Yet, Long Yi merely needed to fight to learn his opponent's Fighting Aura techniques, which was simply as incredible and mind-boggling as a fantasy tale!
What did this imply? It indicated that Long Yi's understanding of Fighting Aura far surpassed anyone else here! He could retroactively deduce any executed Fighting Aura techniques! My God, this man wasn't just strong in his muscles, but also in his brain! He didn't look as naive as he appeared! To deduce the opponent's Fighting Aura techniques while fighting was a display of extreme strength and intelligence!
The First Year instructor had never felt so delighted, nodding to himself as he watched Long Yi. Yes, this was the type of warrior he liked! A warrior should be like this!
"Long Yi brought honor to the class, add six points for him! The other four, for their team spirit, each receives three points!"
The instructor, in a great mood, readily added points for everyone.
Wesley, excited, widened his eyes in disbelief. He had not expected that merely watching Long Yi fight would earn him points! Brother Long was like a point-dispensing machine! He became even more determined to stick with Long Yi. After all, how precious these points were within the Dragon Knight Academy was known to all! And just in this short period, Long Yi had already earned eighteen points!
In the Dragon Knight Academy, though divided by year, one didn't necessarily have to wait a year to advance; in fact, as soon as you reached sixty points, you could graduate from First Year and enter Second Year directly!
And to gain points, besides internal exams and external mission training, you could earn them through bringing honor to the class or by dueling. In-year duels earned three points for a win and deducted three for a loss, while each additional year level challenged in a duel granted three extra points for a win, and likewise, three extra were deducted for a loss.
You should know, if you had enough points, you could even exchange them for items in the mysterious Dragon God Arena!
Medicine, equipment, and even Fighting Aura techniques could be exchanged using points!
Given this, it seemed like Long Yi had no rivals in the First Year, and the current leader of the Second Year hadn't made a move yet—it was truly uncertain if Long Yi could keep winning!
Contrary to Wesley's excitement, the fatso and the skinny guy were visibly displeased. They considered themselves highly capable and had initially aimed to establish their reputation within the class. Unexpectedly, Long Yi had suddenly interfered. And what was most infuriating was that they had inadvertently gained from it!
Looking at the three points on his wristband, the fatso found them irritatingly glaring. Yet, he didn't have the courage to refuse them—he too understood the importance of points! Inside the academy, points were even more important than gold coins—all resources within could only be exchanged for points!
Because of the victory, the First Year instructor, in high spirits, gave everyone a holiday and the rest of the afternoon was free time. Long Yi promptly decided to use this time to explore the Academy City with Wesley and Arin.
Academy City, as the name suggested, was a huge city established around the Dragon Knight Academy. It was adjacent to the Imperial Capital and could be said to be the most bustling city in the entire White Dragon Empire, aside from the Imperial Capital itself. Not only humans but Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen, and even occasionally Giants could be seen here.
However, compared to other races, Giants seldom interacted with humans; wherever a Giant appeared, it usually indicated a significant event. After all, Giants were a race that served the Divine Dragons and, theoretically, their status was even higher than that of Giant Dragons. They generally had no demands from humans and thus had little interaction.
At this moment, Long Yi, also a Giant by race, had no awareness of his kin's typical aloofness, as he was entirely engrossed by the city's bustling environment.
The know-it-all Wesley played the guide for Long Yi and Arin; he had already inquired about everything to do with Academy City well in advance. Now walking on the streets, he was completely at ease.
"When it comes to food, if you want to taste something unique, there are good restaurants in these small alleys."
"And as for equipment, there are a few big equipment stores in the city which are not bad, though quite expensive. In the east, there are a few Dwarven blacksmith shops, and the craftsmanship of Dwarves is unsurpassed. Some well-known equipment stores also have their supplies from them, but their owners are not easy to deal with. However, if you can handle your liquor, a challenge might work."
"Ah, right, in the magic prop shop, not only can you buy magical items, but you can also have an Enchanter there enchant your equipment with magic, though it's not cheap."
"See that exotic-looking cottage over there? That's an Elf's shop, specializing in items crafted by the Elf race. They have Elf swords and even jewelry and such. But Elves are even harder to communicate with than Dwarves, and their prices are steep."
Wesley explained all the way, his knowledge so extensive that he could even identify a stray dog running across the street—who owned it, how long it had been around, and when it had been sick.
