Shi Xueqin awoke to find that Longhun had left at some unknown time.
Recalling the events of the previous night, she felt a bit muddled, but what had happened had indeed happened.
As Shi Xueqin emerged from her room, she saw Longhun eating alone on the first floor; he saw her come out, then looked away, pretending not to see her.
Shi Xueqin walked towards him.
Longhun didn't appear nervous, but she felt somewhat tense and uncomfortable.
Longhun quickly said, "Come and eat."
Shi Xueqin obediently sat down, unsure of what to say.
Longhun said, "Last night, I drank a lot."
Shi Xueqin looked at him, somewhat shyly nodding her head, and said, "Right, I've never seen you drink so much before, last night was the first time."
"Yes, you really shouldn't drink recklessly, it's bound to lead to trouble."
Shi Xueqin wasn't sure what he meant.
"Did I say a lot of crazy things?"
"Some." She had never seen Longhun in such discomfort before.
