The girl in the lead, likely the master of the other girl behind her, was around sixteen or seventeen. She had big eyes and a peachy face with the red of monkey buttocks—probably caused by her clothing. Wearing a pink plum blossom dress, her status was clearly high, surely from a wealthy family. Her steps were light, a clear sign of martial training—otherwise, she wouldn't have such agility. She glanced back from time to time, very alert.
The girl chasing after her, probably a year or two older, was running out of breath. She clutched two bundles and a sword as if afraid of losing them. Though her green dress was just as luxurious as the first girl's, it lacked the aura of a young miss. Perhaps such temperament is innate and cannot be changed by a day or two of refinement.
