The conference room number one at the Royal Army General Staff headquarters was a vast space of 200 square meters, designed under the principle of "prioritizing the face and dignity of the kingdom and the army above all else." Not only did this waste an enormous amount of space, but extravagant decorations were also added regardless of cost, including an assortment of paintings, sculptures, and armor, probably moved here from some estate or ancient castle, making the room resemble an art gallery.

Opposite the main door, on the wall, hung a portrait of Charles IV. In the painting, the old king was clad in military garb, holding his ceremonial sword, his face wrinkled but still vibrant with energy, his eyes fiercely fixing on everyone in the room.
