According to the plan, the special operations were divided into two parts. The first part involved dispatching a vanguard assault squad, who, dressed in Wehrmacht uniforms over their Charlemagne Army uniforms, would parachute into the rear of the Charlemagne Army before the start of combat. Once the battle commenced, they would destroy supply depots, ammunition warehouses near bridges, or infiltrate occupied areas for reconnaissance missions, spreading false orders among the enemy troops, confusing road signs, sniping messengers, and planting booby traps—all to sow chaos. The second part consisted of two battalions of special forces disguised as retreating units blending into Charlemagne Army's withdrawal, then driving straight through to seize the bridges over the Meuse River.
