Though that description seemed somewhat inappropriate. Sitting opposite was a black-haired youth, his face obscured by the dying light of the sunset, making it hard to discern his features. Undoubtedly, by appearances, he was human.
But that was a grave misunderstanding.
On the office desk and the carpet, shadows cast by the sunset stretched so large they nearly filled the entire room and writhed as if alive. In the eerily silent room, only the low hum of the so-called climate control system was audible, and at this moment, it seemed to buzz even louder, the sense of unreality growing denser by the moment.
