A small caravan moved across the plains.
With the advent of rail transport, the form of transporting goods underwent significant changes, and merchants large and small preferred the fast and cheap method of trains. Nevertheless, away from the railways, traditional methods were still the only way to transport goods to different locations, more so in underdeveloped areas.
Just like others, this caravan too was laden with heavy, practical durable goods, and was also equipped with weapons for bandits and monsters, and iron plates for added protection—yet no matter how sturdy the vehicle, there was always a limit.
From afar, the merchants saw a strange crimson and black glow flickering on the horizon. As they watched in astonishment, a massive fireball whistled across the sky and fell in the distance.
