After all, one day everything came to an end—the missions that were given were all completed, and there was no longer anything that had to be done. Humans could go and find new purposes and missions.
Li Lin was not human.
To move swiftly, there were cars and trains; to cross oceans and skies, there were ships and airplanes; to record events that happened, there were books. Containers existed to hold things.
So—
For the sake of war, there were weapons.
The sole purpose of weapons was to engage in battle; they were either discarded before being finished or destroyed in combat, or they went mad and were abandoned when there was no longer an enemy to fight.
For Li Lin, the so-called "stories where one could live without a mission" and "stories after a mission is completed" simply never existed from the beginning.
