After all, there comes a day when everything ends—the given missions are completed, and there are no more things one must do. Humans can go on to find new purposes and missions.
Li Lin is not human.
To facilitate swift movement, cars and trains were invented; to cross oceans and skies, ships and planes were created; to record events, books were made. Containers exist to hold something.

Weapons exist for war.
The sole purpose of weapons is to engage in battle, to be discarded before they're even used, to be destroyed in combat, or, in the absence of warfare, to fall into madness and obsolescence.
For Li Lin, the stories of "living on without a mission" or "what comes after completing one's mission" never existed from the start.
