Anyone with a slight political sense could sense numerous undercurrents beneath the surface of Charlemagne Town - conservatism, chauvinism, racial supremacy, religious faith, monopoly capital, foreign spies… The dark side of so many powers converging and operating in vain in a single city would inevitably reveal clues. How could Roland, who was trained very early on how to gather intelligence, miss out on essential information?
Up until now, the terrorist activities of the Royalist Faction have not yet reached the capital. Since the Blood Covenant Group incident, assassination activities also seem to have converged. But apart from naive citizens, everyone knew that this was just the calm before the storm. Sooner or later, some fools would do something stupid at some point and plunge this country into chaos.
Most of those in power were focused on when and in what form terrorist activities would erupt. However, Roland was pondering an issue that others might not notice.
