"This is what we call 'The Wall' (Mauer),"
Dr. Werner Best, who had shifted his gaze away from the artillery scope, sighed from inside his concealed shelter.
In the history of intelligent beings, there were generally two types of walls: one was the physical wall, which you could see and touch; the other was the invisible, intangible wall of the mind.
The wall that stood before Dr. Best, known as the "Internal Boundary Line" or "Erroneous Thought Defense Wall," was somewhat unusual. Firstly, it was a physical wall that existed in material form; at the same time, it was slowly becoming a high mental wall. The physical separation was starting to deeply influence the thoughts, consciousness, ideas, and spirit of those divided by it. Sooner or later, the two sides of the wall would be completely split, bringing profound disaster to this country and those who built it.
