Geographically, both regions bordered the conglomerate's core stronghold—Argentoratum, allowing for a potential sudden flank attack "in case of emergency." Even if progress was not smooth, it would also be easier to mobilize and dispatch food supplies from these agricultural areas. Lastly, as these places were outside the influence of the V.E Company, the Crown Prince would almost certainly not face any hindrance, enabling him to establish these areas as bases against Argentoratum with minimal interference.
The average person found it hard to understand why the omnipresent conglomerates would give up on Austria and the St. Istvan Crown Territory, which were right within their reach. In fact, the reasons were very complex.
