As the sun rose, the Chesapeake finally sailed into Plymouth Bay and anchored near St. Nicholas Island. Due to the large local waves and numerous hidden reefs, small boats were primarily used to enter and exit Plymouth Bay. Larger warships adopted a Z-shaped course to enter the harbor. It was difficult to maneuver catamarans in these waters, so they didn't enter the harbor, and passengers and cargo were transported by small boats moored alongside them.
At such times, shipowners, passengers, and harbor residents would usually be filled with genuine smiles. Sailors and passengers would be relieved to have safely reached their destination and be far away from the shadow of the "Dragon Cavalry Movement," while the people of Plymouth would be delighted about thriving commercial activities, as hotels, brothels, and casinos were not short of revenue.
